Winks passing is very limited. You'll notice he only passes to the near man basically recycling the ball. We need a midfielder who has a strong passing range.
To be fair, I don't think anyone thinks we'd get Lo Celso and Fernandes. Any media links to the latter make me think we're just negotiating for the former.

I really like Winks as a player and think he does have and has shown promise as a player. This station to station passing has been bugging me. It has gotten so bad that I'm starting to wonder if it is tactical instruction. To what benefit I will never know but in the CL final he passed up some clear passes to open players only to pass it 3 yards to a player that would then pass to the player Winks' could have eaily passed to initially. but Winks' pass in these instances serve no purpose other than to allow the defense to remain organized but shift 3 yards further up the field. Why even pass it?

Draxler would be awesome and probably would be the cheapest.
Malcom at 40m and Kovacic at 60m seem too expensive.
I doubt Bayern will want to sell Sanches.
Meunier would be interesting if he can play CB too. Can he?
Exactly my thoughts. He is a neat and tidy player who is great to have when you want to maintain possession I suppose. But when you are a goal down like we saw in the Final, having two blokes in central midfield who are neither goal threats and defense splitting passes to their name is just redundant and limits our offensive capabilities.
Surely we'd have to. The risk of one more season and then him walking on a free would be too great otherwise.
I'm sure if he stayed to see out his contract he'd play exceptionally though. He'd be wanting an amazing season just before he became a free agent to maximise the gains of his next club's contract.
Modric - probably our best cental midfielder this century, averaged less than 3 assists per season in a Spurs shirt. Even his best season in Madrid provided less assists than Eriksen did for us this season.
There is absolutely a role for someone who just holds the midfield together.

the 50 can be used with a slight top-up to get Lo Celso. After which Levy just needs to find enough $ for Ndombele and Sessegnon to end our summer window incomings.
