Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Confusing isn't it, this football thing?
Maybe you should follow swimming, you know - first one to touch the wall after they do enough lengths.
So much easier to work out.
Classic response that unfortunately says more about you than it does the person to whom you were responding. Here's an idea since it was 'confusing' for me why don't you explain it to me and all the others that are not on your level. We'll wait.

£40m. If Levy had put this bid in most of the Spurs fan base online would be ripping him a new one for being cheap and urging him to JUST SPEND THE MONEY!!!

£40m for a fullback who has potential but plays in a team that loses more than they win and who has only one full season under his belt. I think it's a reasonable deal and Man U's opening bid was a decent one to start off with

I can see this thread getting a bit tetchy over the next few weeks :

Lo Celso - At Copa America, last match of which is 7 July (but Argentina may be knocked out early). So he wont be signed/announced until possibly after that finishes.

Sessegnon (x 2) - At UEFA Euro u21 tournament, first match in the group stages is 18 June and runs to end of June, so again will not be announced until that tournament is over.

NDomebele's last match for France is on Tuesday 11 June, but question is whether M. Aulas thinks he has exhausted trying to get competing bids to Spurs, he's tried publicly calling for PSG to bid and got onto Real Madrid so far......so just another 100 clubs in Europe for him to try.

Meanwhile Portugal's Bruno Fernandes take on Netherlands today, so still time for lots of bidders to admire him and join ManU, ManCity and allegedly us...….

Plenty going on, but an announcement on incoming players could be a while to go ?

BTW its not unheard of to sign a player but not announce it for a few weeks just to wrong foot other clubs !

Agreed. A fair few of our targets have other engagements. I don't expect major movement of any description until July.

Our priority should be shmoozing Aulas for the time being. Our other area of focus should be on the Eriksen situation so we know where we stand when targets have shut up shop for the season.

No need to rush on Sessegnon, Lo Celso we simply won't get any movement on before the Copa America is done and Fernandes I'm not really convinced is a target. Shame but it could give the club an opportunity to focus on outs before ins like we know the club likes to do.

I'd be encouraging movement on Eriksen, Trippier etc until July hits. Can't negotiate with a player focused on international tournaments, it simply makes it too much of an uphill task at this moment in time.
