Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

There's no way its possible to sign any players is a bit pffft when you think about it...

Borussia Dortmund shows its ambition with 3 new signings

If the players they signed want to transfer from one German cub to another, then Dortmund is the club to go to (its been the 2nd club in Germany for a few years now and well known for playing younger players which is why Jadon Sancho went there ).

Spurs tried for Brandt but wanted to stay in Germany - nothing Spurs can do about that even though Spurs is now rated at same level or even higher than Dortmund.

So its Location, location, location - and Spurs are not in Germany

Perhaps these passes/patterns are not the same. Perhaps these are instances where even the receiver looks surprised to have received the ball. And perhaps they serve no purpose toward even something as simple as as a deliberate buildup from the back. This ain't Barca 2008. There is no manager instructing players for a 3 yard ball in the middle third.

How can you be so sure they are tactically instructed? Do you believe every pass they make is scripted?

Every pass, clearly not, don't be daft. That's not what I said. But our overall approach, yes, and how our shape shifts according to where we hold possession and that this influences which sort of passes players in specific positions should primarily be making, yes.

Let me see if I understand your train of thought here. We start off with Winks playing a ton of simple passes most of them short and horizontal more than vertical, which we agree on.

So your thoughts: Winks has lots of short passes --> It's not part of the tactical set-up --> Poch tells Winks to stop making those passes/make more forward passes (which he would surely do, if it isn't tactically intended as you claim) --> Winks keeps doing it --> Poch continues to pick Winks for the team.

No logical disconnect there :pochcmon:

How about you stop fucking quoting me, fuck off and leave me alone, and get back on the subject yourself. You're not having the final word you gooner maggot so I suggest you either shut the fuck up or leave this forum.

Last fucking warning.
On behalf of a lot of people on this forum, why don't you just fuck off back to your basement and have a pot noodle and a wank you absolute fanny fart of an individual.......

this is ridiculous. You are intent on 'defending' Winks for attacks that weren't mine. I rate Winks. I have issue with his injury history but love him as a player. The silly short passes I was referencing were in no way tactically called for and if they were that would be an indictment on Poch. I was saying nothing about 'passing forward'. I was talking about useless station to station passes that didn't move the defense. I don't care if they were back or sideways. I understand that much of buildup occurs with the CBs. So WTF are you even talking about?

What's a "poch type player" exactly?
