Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Another bit of info for you to ignore as you wish ... Spurs have told Schoots that they want a decision within days. Eriksen going or staying is now becoming a problem with this summer's transfer activity. He was given until after the Georgia game ... well that's now been ... so it's decision time.

If that's true, and his fucking dithering is fucking up our transfer plans, then I would just like him to kindly fuck off.

He's had more than enough time and if rumours that Real would rather move for Pogba are true I can see him staying on. It's a tough one but he has had a year or so to decide and we have been patient with him. If he's waiting on Real or Barca and neither come in for him I'd suggest we are his plan B. I'm hoping the club have made him an ultimatum as it needs to do what's best for the club.

If we miss out on Bruno Fernandes for example because Eriksen dithered then that ain't on. Got to be in the best interests of the club

Laughable to think that anyone believes Eriksen will still be a Tottenham player this season. If real really aren’t keen anymore (which I don’t believe for a second) then he will go to PSG/Bayern or somewhere like that. Maybe even Barca if Coutinho leaves.

Dele is too slow on the ball to play midfield.

He seemed to be put there because our midfield was decimated last season, as opposed to tactics mind.

I'm hoping he plays further forward next season.

Correct.

Alli is an instinctive player, right up there with some of the best but he has been stifled into playing responsibly at his and our detriment.

See his goals and it's less thought and more about speed of mind.

He had a poor season and you expect more but he was played out of position for too much of it.

Get a better crop of central midfielders and we can restore Alli to his rightful starting place.

You could be right and if Barca came in it might tempt him ... but PSG / Bayern are they any more challenging than Spurs ... if he wants a French or German trophy or three then go for it ... but not sure that's for him.

Starting to think the N’dombele stuff was bullshit, hasn’t been any movement since before the CL final. Don’t see why we would be waiting now, a big signing is exactly the lift we need after our performance.

Just to put things into context for you.

I talked to a guy who was involved in the Bale transfer to Madrid who said that once Spurs/Madrid/Bale and his agent had agreed the major terms of the transfer, it took between 2 and 3 weeks for the various advisors (lawyers, accountants, agents etc) to agree the final points of the deal sufficiently to put into a contract and the practical stuff (eg where was Gareth going to live until he got a permanent pad ). And Gareth was pretty laid back and not difficult, likewise his agent (Bartlet) was very professional and got on well with both Levy and Madid so no problems there either.

In short, transfers take time, and given Lyon were still trying to find alternative bidders a week or so ago, it would not surprise me at all to find the Ndombele contract isn't finally signed for another week or two - although I am pretty sure all Spurs supporters (and Spurs) would like it done this week, it may not be possible for logistical reasons.

That's the difference between playing Football Manager/FIFA and real life I am afraid.

We are prepared to pay 70m for Bruno Fernandes, and we've told his agent as much - if that 16/1 is still available grab it ... that doesn't mean we'll get him, or that we've even made a bid, but we're at least showing signs that we're in the game.

Still think Utd are favourites, but if the money on offer to him is the same who would you choose?

My guess would be Liverpool in there somewhere too.

Player may prefer us against ManU provided money is not too far adrift, might be 50/50 v Liverpool.

United are showing ambition in the market so far, something we should be doing, instead we are delaying again.

Yup they have signed Daniel James from Championship Swansea for £15m and mighty Bournemouth have signed another Championship player for £11m...…..

That's the only 2 trasfers involving PL clubs with any money changing hands (ie others are free transfers).

So we are delaying ???

Relax. Nobody is doing better atm

I've just seen a Sky headline saying Man U identify Wan-Bissaka alternative. If that was us looking at plan B options rumours of Poch not getting what he deserves and walking would spread like wildfire.

With the money flooding into football these days people need to accept that the game has become a sellers market, unless of course there are variables that effect things such as contract expiry or refusal to play. Teams like Crystal Palace can actually turn down £60m offers for some of their footballers now, that's £20m more than we have ever spent on a player. Crystal Palace!!!

Schoots ?

BTW, please keep posting information you have. Some haters won't appreciate it. Others like me are happy to take it in board, realising that things change quickly and the information may be incorrect within hours, but taking lots of sources together we get a general idea of what's happening.
