Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If I make being brutally honest withnour squad, the ones I see the club being open to listening to offers for are:

Trippier
Aurier
Carter-Vickers
Wanyama
Dier
Rose/ Davies (I'd rather keep both but think the club would consider selling one)
Nkoudou
Lamela
Onomah
Edwards
Janssen

Toby & Eriksen are clearly ones we'd consider moving on for different circumstances to those above though. Ones looking over their shoulders for me are Serge, Tripps, Dier, Victor and Lamela. These are the five where opinsee a few surprising springing from as for whatever reason this year they simply haven't stepped up like they could and possibly should have. They left doors open to others.

I get where you are coming from.

IMO, and interpreting all the transfer rumours out of the press etc, I think the plan has been to start by strengthening the centre midfield area and add an AM, both because Lamela (one of 5 we have) is often injured and because we think there is a strong chance we think that Eriksen will leave. That's why the rumours have been about Ndomebele, Lo Celso and more recently Ferandes - 3 players.

After that I think we need to look at a Kane alternative for when he's injured (Llorente's replacement) and then defence (assuming Alderweireld and Vertonghen stay).

If we assume that Poch doesn't want more than say 4 (maximum 6 if a CB leaves) players in as its difficult to integrate them, teach them how he wants Spurs to play etc, we may or may not get a new right back this TW as we are already talking about 3 midfield players and a Kane alternative (ie 4 players) before we get to talk about RB's.

If the right RB (according to Poch) becomes available I think we'll go for him, but if not, I can see us waiting for another TW.

But just my opinion of course

CE! The reports coming out about considering a new 4 year contract with us is true. It is all about the minefield of clauses. It will not deter our quest to bring in two midfielders, which is well documented. Danny Rose wants a new contract. It is all about what he expects, and what we would possibly offer. No buyers at present for

Good strengthening-the-squad-by-selling-half-of-it skills

I'm not suggesting we sell all of them, just that these are players I'm sure we'd be open to listening to offers for.

Apart from the fullback areas I've highlighted it wouldn't really change too much of our first XI core at present and it would allow for weaker players out and stronger players in. Players like Onomah, CCV, Nkoudou, Janssen, Edwards etc dont add any value to our first team squad anyway so there's 5 players instantly that could return us good money to utilise more appropriately after all.

From that fat bastard, Hercules, on SC...

He's just straight up following rumours on Twitter. Post it yesterday and I might actually believe that he has an ounce of insight.

I know the stasis on SC won't allow dislikes on posts, but surely none of them should be leaving a positive rating on that hunk of steaming shit.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on Walker-Peters at right back? He’s put some good performances in last season, and is at an age where he will only develop further.
