Woolwich are in for Upamecano?! My God. That kid is an absolute monster. Leipzig are dumb for selling him now, they can wait a year or two and get an enormous fee from a Real Madrid, PSG or Bayern for him.

He's lost out on probably 15 million+ in the past 3 years by being extremely underpaid, which is why he wants to leave to make up for it.

He doesn't owe anyone anything because he - like Toby - have been underpaid for years.
Both have been offered new contracts and refused them. Kane Alli and Son have signed contracts with big pay rises but Eriksen obviously wants to go.

Hey, if given a choice, I'd take Coutinho on loan for £20,000,000 than spend £70,000,000 on Bruno Fernandes.

Though would still prefer Lo Celso.

I don’t think signing Coutinho on loan will affect us getting either Lo Celso or Fernandes if Eriksen goes. Still need competition and cover there.

Lloris
Aurier - Alderweireld - Vertonghen - Rose
Ndombele - Winks
Son - Dele/Fernandes/Lo Celso - Coutinho

Wishful thinking.

United look even stronger than Woolwich as well and we've undoubtedly regressed.

Do you think Kane, Dele and Lamela are going to magically stop getting injured this season? Woolwich and Chelsea also suffered from injury crises, we weren't the only team.

Stop kidding yourself, we need to make signings.
Last year we coped with Kane, Dele and lemela being injured it was the mountain of others that was the issue.

Our squad is mile ahead of Woolwich and man u.

What I have seen of KWP suggests Championship player with decent Premier league potential.
He's 22 with 19 senior appearances to his name. That's not very good to say the least, but he hasn't had time out on loan.

BUT! I wouldn't write him off yet.
Rose was 22 when he went on loan to Sunderland and came back ready.
I can't remember when he made the move from winger to full back, but I do remember him bulking up quite a bit and gaining some strength I never thought he would be capable of.

KWP could go on to get 20+ caps for England, or end up knocking around the football leagues.
He's one of our own. I would like to see him be given the chance.
Rose went out on loan to Sunderland and played every game for them and gained loads of experience in the PL, KWP has to do the same otherwise he's a mistake waiting to happen. Why risk it when you can get a decent experienced RB for 25mill anyway

Not sure that is quite true.

Eriksen at Ajax was well regarded but Spurs seemed to be the only ones to go in and grab him - and play and develop him.

So I think Eriksen owes us something for giving him the chance to move from Ajax ( then a club a bit in the doldrums,) whilst Spurs have kept pace with his development by giving him chance to play CL for 4 successive seasons and even getting to CL final.

But not all players will repay the opportunity given to them.

This works very much both ways, I don't think we make CL the last four seasons without Eriksen's consistent circa 20+ goals/assists - and general influence on how we play - all while being paid less than some mid table players are a shit load less than players of similar ability at other top clubs. And he's stayed with us for what 6 years ?
