Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Keep getting DMs asking for my official reaction to our window. Can't reply to everyone individually, so I'll jutlst make a statement here:
If a big club like Real had signed the players we signed this summer, everyone would be asking why they signed unknowns for high prices.
The posters on here who think this was a good window are the real enemies of this club. Their refusal to make demands of the club administration perpetuates our second tier performance.
Look me in the eye and tell me it's not so.

We aren't Real Madrid Vinnie and I imagine they'll also rein it in in the aftermath of redevelopment of the Bernabeu

I'd say we had the best window in the premier league.

Chelsea: Given the transfer ban they actually had an exceptionally good window. Huge price for Hazard, bringing in kovacic and pulisic (i know he was january), shifted some dead weight. Still come out of the window worse than they were last year.

City: Good window as always.

Liverpool: Didn't really do anything...Got a young prospect.

Woolwich: Signed several good players but did it in the most Woolwich fashion possible. Enterred window with a horrible defense. Spent a ton of money on a winger who is good but not great. Spent a lot of money on a cb who they loaned back. Brought in a great midfielder...but on loan with no option to buy. Tierney and Luiz likely upgrade their defense but both are still pretty big question marks overall. Weird window. Probably improved defense with tierney and luiz, think they improved the 2nd most behind us but they spent a ton of money to get there and will have huge issues if they don't make champions league again. They were also the worst of the big 6 last year so had the most improving to do

United: Signed good players and hung on to pogba. Loss of herera will be huge, might even negate the upgrade maguire presents. Wan bissaka will help. A little bit better than last year but not much.

Good analysis.

If we keep Erikson, I think we have improved our depth and quality in the midfield quite a bit. Those were our weaknesses last year.

We have plenty of firepower with Kane, Son, Lucas, Erikson, and a healthy Dele. If our midfield can control the middle of the pitch more often, we are competitive against anyone.

The addition of Dybala would have taken us to clearly elite level in Europe, but I still think without him we have a decent chance to repeat or improve on last year’s run in the UCL and make us competitive in the PL.

We paid 60M for Ndombele, 25M for Sessengon, and 15M plus and obligatory 40M next year for Lo Celso. And 10M for Clarke.

That’s 150M

Kept Eriksen to your delight too. And got rid of the RB you considered our worst player.

“SPEND MORE!!!!!!!!!!”
If we need a win from our last match to secure top 4, we better hope Levy ain't cookin' up the pre-match meal then
