Superstar in Asia but not Europe.
I think he is far too inconsistent to be a regarded for a regular title winning club and they are not interested in paying the dough Levy would like.
Sometimes brilliant and many times ineffective or it may be he plays with a poor midfield that offers him so little .

Disagree...

Bare in mind some of the teams mentioned that you replied to include Juve, PSG & Bayern.. and they all regularly win titles.. and have had some very very questionable players during those years. I mean.. which team did we buy Moura & Aurier from for example.. PSG. Bayern has a Woolwich flop (now doing pretty well.. but it's much more easy in a team like that) .. Juve went for Ramsey.. albeit on loan.

The more that I look at it.. there definitely seems to be an inferiority complex by some here who think that those top teams are full of players that are super consistent and that they are somehow on a different level to our players..

Dembele for Barcelona is super overrated.. and as is most of the Real Madrid attack.. yet Sonny apparently can't get in to any of those teams mentioned??

If he was not a player that could get into those sides.. then:

Why would Messi rate Son in the top 25 players in Europe?

Why would he be nominated for a Ballon D'or in 2019?

Why would Virgil Van Dijk pick him in a 5-a-side team made of prem players (non liverpool) and no one else in our team?

We have been linked to Thiago Silva by the Sun, they ain't been bad for us in recent years.

Personally would love him here, No.2 shirt is ready
35 though. Same old same old....
We need younger more aggressive players. I've nothing against him but how many miles are left in his legs? This is a wet dream for Levy.
Plus I see that many other teams (I don't know how much truth is in it) are prepared to offer lots of money for young good players. Werner, Sancho, Havertz etc...if we're as rich as we're supposed to be, why are we looking at underwhelming and geriatric players?

I do agree with you, but I wouldn't want us to go for any of the players you mentioned purely based on their position... we are pretty covered in those areas. But yeah, the equivalents of them in the defensive positions is what we need.

How about Andre Silva, AC Milan forward but currently on loan at Eintract Frankfurt. 1 year left in his contract, he is a Jorge Mendes client, only 24 years old. I think he could be a decent affordable option as back up/ partner for Harry
