Transfers Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Never been. Come from the seaside so always been more inclined to visit new forest, lake district etc,
Savernake Forest. Just love that place. Been talking about moving to that area after retirement next year. Gorgeous countryside and I went to school there. Plus cream teas. It doesn't get any better. Of course I'll have to start supporting Swindon !!!

I am shocked people think Lamela is more productive than Lucas?! I’d love some examples to confirm this. I love Lamela he’s given us some nice moments but nothing on the level of Lucas. I think Fraser is a player who can offer something late in games. What he offers has been covered in depth by others I don’t think that needs to be said. Do I think this deal is better than getting Willian on a free?! In the short term no but in the long term he is a good chip to have to bargain with which could be part of the thinking. Im not too sure what this signing would mean for Sess because I’m not keen for him to remain at LB. I’m hopeful that we will be active this summer and not just on free transfers. My hope is Kondogbia or someone of his ilk for DM. A good RB is important for the balance of the team and an Eriksen replacement which we currently do not have.

I'm a fan of both players but if we're selling one it's Lamela. Both guys are inconsistent but Lucas has stepped up in big situations more than Lamela.

I like both Lucas and Lamela, both have their weaknesses and frustrations but I would hate to see either leave. Lamela is certainly more productive when you factor in his assists, Lucas just doesn't produce anywhere near enough. Lamela has a very strong record of goals and assists per minute.
Now for Fraser, I can't say I've watched that much of him but my friends were excited when we were linked with him on a free. If we could get good money for Lamela which we used on a striker, defensive midfielder, or any defender then I would understand selling him and replacing him Fraser.

Edit: I picked Lamela out of the 2 due to his injury troubles, if he wasn't so injury prone then I believe he would have been one of the first names on the team sheet.

I'd be happy with Fraser or pretty much anyone on a free.

It's clear our scouts are about as good as our medical team. So we need lots of PL proven players as well as fresh meat for the stretching rack or whatever passes for our physio bench these days.

Part of me thinks now is the time to sell Lamela. But the other part really doesn’t want him to leave.

He’s a proper cunt player. Spurs through and through. Always shows 100%.

I think the next nine games will be treated as almost a season in itself. So decisions on transfers could change radically between now and six weeks time. If skipp or foyth for example were to get a run of games it could lessen the need to buy in certain positions. Equally if tanguy continues to stroll around then it could be curtains for him come August

It is a curious situation and one that Jose would know how to play better than anybody. If we fluke a CL spot are we likely to get far into the group stages with this team?

If we miss out on Europe then Levy will have to make some uncomfortable decisions.
