Transfers Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Don't know...the fact that Moura and Aurier were a double deal and it was no secret whatsoever that PSG wanted rid of both players makes me think that was more about finance, although we'll never know the exact details I'd heavily suspect that the structure of the deal was the best financial available. It's not like PSG are in that much of a hurry for the money. Poch did have a link with PSG, but again, everyone thought we did get a bargain. We could possibly still sell both players for a minimal loss in Aurier's case and a profit in Moura's.

Foyth was highly rated and not that much of a risk financially, we'll sell him for a profit. Strong Poch links, but business sense. Some big clubs sniffing. Poch was a pull that helped the club with this one and a few other transfers and possibly gave us the edge, ditto GLC and increasing Argentine numbers. Gazzaniga too, but a bit of punt, on a player that knew the manager and England. Not much risk for a back up who was still young enough to improve as a goalkeeper.

Sanchez I'd really like to know about, was highly rated and quick enough...possibly Poch with the South American connection, but we have had multiple dealings with Ajax, so business is obviously on good terms between them. Also wasn't all that big of a transfer if you look at similar deals retrospectively. He's worth persisting with IMO, but his passing game is too inconsistent anything over about 20 yards. Have actually noticed him being a bit more switched on recently, caught ball watching a bit too often previously, but he's only turned 24. Think Mourinho can help him.

Look at the amount of people you've heard talking about what a nightmare it is to deal with Spurs? It's obviously a business thing.

The craziest thing is that some people lap this shit up! Go Levy! We did them there etc. Little gifs of him putting shades on and smoking a cigar and all that shite.

What’s everyone think of Cantwell? Another goal tonight and ran us ragged a few times we played them. Will 100% be off when Norwich get relegated. Worth a punt ?

Classy player, and only 22. Versatile skill-set as well, can see him playing in midfield and in forward areas. Too expensive for Spurs this year I'd imagine, given the positions we urgently need to fill.

Todd Cantwell.......Too expensive for Spurs

Oh man!

I think he would be a good player to add but with out limited desire to spend and bigger issues at both FB spots, DM and striker I can't see how we can afford him with the money that Levy will allows us to spend.

Quite interesting with the way a transfer can go. From half the stories about Levy, it's no wonder our business usually goes down to the wire...and often fails IMHO.

Pre Levy Spurs signed Matt Le Tissier - at the time one of the most skillful players in England.

Billy Nick put the signed contract into his safe, preparing for the transfer to be announced next day.

Unfortunately Le Tiss' wife decided at the last minute she didn't want to move to London.

So Billy Nick agreed to take the signed player contract out of the safe and tear it up.

Transfers are tricky things, they are only certain when the player turns up for training at his new club after being signed !

Too many stories and myths about Levy at this point when we have been so so close and went backwards.

I think he has gotten a quality manager in with a proven track record, but he has to back him more than already what Mourinho has alluded the situation to be (and we all know fine rightly) if he doesn't want us to stall outside the Champions League places.

If the rumours about Ndombele are true, get him out to fuck at as minimal a loss as possible as quickly as possible and get the manager's first choices for the positions he wants.

I don't even think Jose wants that many, but they need the right guts to win things with him. Salah and DeBruyne don't have too many bad things to say about him and for every negative player opinion on him a la Pogba etc., you can find at least 2 players' opinions who lap him up...

...and there are far more fucking jumped-up wee vain primadonna dickheads in the modern game/society in general now sadly.

Said he was good and one we should sign when I saw him last season in his first ever Championship season after watching him once. Woolwich fan though, so I know a few will hate that.
