As much as I like the idea of BL potentially pushing up the price for Aurier this seems much more like a situation where we try to squeeze AC, they decide to look elsewhere, sign a different RB (likely the guy we would like) and then Leverkusen pulls out when they actually watch game film of Aurier playing for us.

If we have a team dumb enough to want to sign Aurier just get the deal done ASAP before they can back out and we are stuck with him.

This is us bullshitting to get it over the line.

Milan will respond with a leaked rumor of another RB target.

I don't know why people are surprised at the number of signings/sales at this point - in a normal window we wouldn't even be to the end of June yet.

Also, given that half of Europe is still on holiday, it's not a particular surprise that the only business that has been wrapped up is the player we've been reliably linked with for months and a third-choice keeper on a free.

By Spurs standards we've done a ton of business already.

Even little stuff like loaning out Skipp usually takes ages.

Just imagine, that was exactly what PSG were thinking when we took him off their hands. :mourcheeks:

It's like when Lo Celso was on holiday last year and people were asking why he wasn't in London yet when he was still in South America. Some of these things just aren't going to happen over night for reasons that are frankly beyond Spurs' control. Or things are happening that aren't being reported - one/two of those seem to happen every window.

If we can get a RB and backup striker in a week before the season starts I think we will be fine. Mourinho played Bergwijn a few days after he joined the squad, so he's not like Poch in that regard.

It's just so bizarre.

We constantly complain about not signing players, have literally one RB, and everyone (including me) is thrilled to be getting rid of him. Sure, we'll have no RB's but Serge sucks, so....

was just typing something very similiar to this.

We could be going into the season with our only dedicated fullback being Ben Davies.....
