And when you see the headaches we and other top clubs have with the PL and UEFA homegrown rules, you see that the English Premium is not just nativism and bias, players that can occupy those slots are genuinely more valuable. Which in turn makes developing them from your youth system more valuable, which makes investment in your youth system more financially wise, which is the intent of the squad rules in the first place. It's all by design.
