Given Birch is ex-Swansea Chairman can't help but feel this might gain some traction over the next couple of weeks.
Think there could be quite a few salty ManU fans.....a couple of weeks before Bale and Reguilon arrived at Spurs, I was told by a ManU fan they were definitely going to ManU.........and now Rodon in a position (CB) the fans desperately want to upgrade........... (and rightly so after the defensive display against Spurs)
Half way between the two is £12.5m, which seems reasonable.

Obviously the Davies and Bale pull will be pretty tempting for him.
Maybe the project is sold to him as being the successor to Toby - Dier RCB and Rodon LCB.
Mourinho seems unsure on Sanchez and I can see why - he is not a defender that inspires confidence. It always stuck in my mind when he said that he targeted Sanchez when United played Ajax in the Europa League final.
Rodon seems a promising player and smart business to do but I'm not sure it really improves us as things stand. I guess he is a more experienced 4th choice than Tanganga.

We just pinched the Swansea chairman to oversee our football operations so makes sense we’d take a player too. Seems a good prospect, I hope it happens. Better value than Skriniar.
I really have to give Levy credit, our squad did not have the right balance at the start of the season but now we are looking excellent. 2 quality players for every position and the right blend of youth and experience. We can aim really high this season with this set of players.

The other compromise is that he simply plays PL (and domestic cups) this season, and maybe EL after Christmas (but we might need to lose an overseas trained player to do that ?)
Still gives us an increase in CB's for most of the matches - and let Tanganga play EL which also works and allows 4 CB's to mainly focus on PL
