“Joe Roden is one of the CH’s. Will just sign one if we do. Likely outside this window. His name out there now“

No shame whatsoever this cunt 😂
I fucking love the 'well, because the media knows the name I can reveal it' bullshit.

If a magician pulled that kind of nonsense on stage he'd be getting boos from the crowd:

"Now that the suit and number is out there I can confirm your card is the 6 of hearts. Please clap."

Instead the cunts over there line up to nosh him off and pop a fiver into the begging bowl. Almost as disgusting as the 'LOL ur so funny, A&C' posts. Almost.

I think we’ll see Rodon come in on the final day of the domestic TW if they are asking for near 20m now, particularly if we still hold an asset in CCV that could smooth that over.

I have this feeling given Jose’s thoughts on Sanchez already that he will slowly be phased out as we look to sell him to fund the Skriniar deal in Jan.

LCB - Dier, Toby, Rodon
RCB - Skriniar, Toby, Tanganga

Aren't you the one who wanted to sign Tagliafico, an average left back, instead of Skriniar and play him centre back!?
Well first, I think people who know football would seriously disagree with you about Tag being an average LB. But eh oh. When I asked the question about Tag vs Skriniar, I was just doing what people do on forums like this one during transfer season, throwing ideas on to the table to get others' thoughts. Please, please Your Highness, do forgive me. I think/know many a Spurs fan would agree that we need a left-footed CB over another right-footed one...and Tag has played at CB on occasions. Knowing Tag would likely have been a cheaper option too, and experience-wise, I don't think Skrin smashes him. But anyway, not like I had Jose's ear and it was a contest between Tag and Skrin.

Interesting anyway how you use someone's old post, that had nothing wrong to it, to question a brand new, unrelated comment. I hope you won't use some stuff I said about another player years ago to rate my thoughts on the next player we get linked to.

The one thing that might see us push this one through is the fact that we have to register our European squad by 11pm tomorrow...

Unless of course we sign him and just send him back on loan to Swansea for the season.

If he wants to play EL we would need to do it today.

I'm not sure how I'd quantify it financially (i.e. is it worth saving a million or two million pounds over?) but I think it'd be a real waste not to get Rodon over the line tonight as opposed to dragging it out over the next week because being able to whack him into the EL squad for group games would be a real boost.

We don't have a league cup game until right before Christmas and throwing him in the deep end in the league might be a bit much.

Why are we in need of a 'left-footed' cb?
Cause we've only got Big Ben who really feels comfortable there, haven't we?...Tobs, Davs and Di can all play on the right side but it's a wee bit trickier for them on the left. So yeah IMO we could've been real swell with cover for Ben...or even someone better than our current option/s. But I guess Mou sees things differently and that's fine with me, he knows best etc :mourloopy:
