Just a pure hunch on my part and ties in with the club being so keen to terminate his contract, at a cost to the club (offsetting the wage saving).
I still think he is better than Doherty; but not worth the negativity around the dressing room.
I'm not sure id agree he is happy. For starters he would be disgruntled losing his first team spot and being told he is surplus to requirements. I'm not sure him being in Tanguy's ear the whole time would have been ideal.
