i'm not disagreeing with the ethics, i'm just stating that since the beginning of time it's generally been the clubs that spend the most, or have the biggest financial backing that win. Leeds, Blackburn, etc. lots have done it.Bit different though when it’s literally a country supporting you or a gangster mega oil baron. They can’t just buy 1-2 decent players they can build a superstar 20+ man team and no need to sell to fund anything.
Only way to top the current situation is if the CCP of China bought a club then spent billions getting Messi, Haaland etc.
yeah you're probably right, although I have a feeling they were braking transfer records before winning much, even back then.DIsagree. Forest earnt the money to spend on Francis by being successful. They, or Liverpool or United didn't hoover up every good player, every good youngster. Football used to be cylical but what City and Chelsea have done is move the playing field. They may have the odd, rare season they dip but generally they will be top 4 and winning trophies until something is done.
I can't see any City players agreeing to join Spurs in part of the deal.
Not any we've heard of,anyway...I can't see any City players agreeing to join Spurs in part of the deal.
Maybe Jesus. He’s the only one I can think of.
I think you have it in one - a 'Tier 4' ITK with a new story to get clicks.
If true I think Levy would be happy to do business (providing done quickly) BUT this would be a huge about turn for City, so think you are correct - its BS
He wants out at City from all reports. London, playing time and his current City wages may be more appealing then sitting on the bench with a World Cup in 18 months.

And I'm not even 100% on that...
Surely you see the difference between random tabloid gossip and a player not turning up for training on the day he is due back?
Either all reporters have the info wrong and Spurs have given him extra holiday in which case this is a non story or he has simply not showed up for training.
If it is the former I struggle to understand why this wouldn't have filtered down to the likes of Gold and they could have put this story to bed very easily.
If it's the latter then Spurs need to come out with a strong stance on this.
and left footed 6 foot 3 aswell would compliment romero excellent. From city I would love to have Laporte. Fits our needs totally. Great player and not a starter there.

If Laporte world rather sit on the bench at City, that's his prerogative. But if Paratici isn't trying to convince him to come be the starting CB next to Romero for the next 4 years it's basically sabotage.and left footed 6 foot 3 aswell would compliment romero excellent.
our defence would be a rock with those two
Then they don’t get Kane for anything less than £160m. SimpleI can't see any City players agreeing to join Spurs in part of the deal.
Who? Scott Carson? He wants out at City from all reports. London, playing time and his current City wages may be more appealing then sitting on the bench with a World Cup in 18 months.
