Marco Rose has apparently told his players at Gladbach that he is leaving at the end of the season (to Dortmund according to Kicker).

Let's see if there is some upheaval in the locker room and players looking for moves.

You upgrade your weakest position, in our case with a CM/DLP e.g. Milinkovic-Savic .

Between Varane and Mane, (ignoring injuries) Varane cos he is a much bigger upgrade over Dier & co, vs Mane over Son/Bergwijn

Aurier out for Aarons

Sanchez our for a top CB, maybe Milenkovic

Winks out for Skipp

Sissoko out for Nehaus

Dele out for Sabitzer

Lucas or Lamela our for Sessegnon

Vinicius out for Scarlett if he continues to grow, if not Ings

Not idea but we can be in much better shape with just 4 new players if we get it right. We need more but 4 minimum to seriously protect our need for quality and depth in must have areas like CM
 
Squad maintenance has been criminally neglected and it's going to take a long time to fix all our problems. Defense is the obvious place to start. Two CBs, at least one RB and one new LB needed imo. Dier, Sanchez, Doherty and Davies need to go. Aurier can stay as second choice, but would prefer him replaced too.

Then we need an alternate for Højbjerg. If Skipp is up for it, great, but he's only proven at lower level so far. Might need someone more experienced for a few seasons while he gets a PL loan.

We also need a creative midfielder, someone to help out Ndombele. Sissoko is just at the wrong club. Winks back up at a stretch.

We have so many mediocre/good (not great) attackers (Lamela, Moura, Bergwijn, Lo Celso, Bale, Alli). At least two of them need to be upgraded on. Would prefer Moura and Alli to go, Bale's loan obviously not extended.

Back up to Kane doesn't have to be so complicated. Llorente was totally fine imo. Someone like that. Strong, experienced. I don't think we'll pay up for Vinicius and that's ok.

But first, sack Mourinho, hire a manager with a plan for attack beyond "play some football guys, fucking hell" and invest heavily in the scouting dep.
 
One thing that could be a positive is shifting players out. Mainly due to the number of out of contract players at other clubs.

Looks like:

Burnley - 10 players
Palace - 14 players
Newcastle - 9 players
West Brom - 10 players

Surely we can interest one of these in a cheeky wee Sissoko?

We have a good attack that is being misused. Would only take a manager to make use of it and that’s much of it solved. The defence is an issue for the summer, get Skipp back and buy a top quality CB.
