Not seen either of them so I'll take your word for it
Gravenberch utterly ran the midfield in Ajax's two games against Liverpool. Strong, skilled, fast and a complete midfielder, we've absolutely nothing like him.
Given the quality of players available, it's one of the best sources of talent out there. If you do shop there you're probanly doing it for the wrong reasons, especially if your name is Daniel Levy and Steve Hitchins has sent you there.
And given our history shopping there?Given the quality of players available, it's one of the best sources of talent out there.

Not that we'd expect it, but it's natural the manager might suggest a player he's coached as a potential transfer target, and it's natural the player in question would see it as a good move if they've enjoyed working under that manager. It does happen, but not too often. If we got Ten Hag in as manager, would we seriously expect to poach one or two Ajax players or is that the kind of transfer narrative that never actually happens?

Gravenberch will go to Barca or Madrid in a year or two imo, first time I saw him I thought he was very clearly a special player. The more I watch of Ajax, the more impressed I get by Shurrs and Gravenberch especially.
The thought of Skipp and Gravenberch as our midfield next season is something sadly we'll never get to see. Probably Iceberg and some other "square and backward first" merchant spoiling play.
Amazing how one signing and the bravery to play two young players together could utterly transform us.
There's also an aspect of the club losing the manager being willing to part with the player, with the idea that they may not be the best fit anymore. Jorginho to Chelsea springs to mind. Not that we'd expect it, but it's natural the manager might suggest a player he's coached as a potential transfer target, and it's natural the player in question would see it as a good move if they've enjoyed working under that manager. But there's still two years...Gravenberch will go to Barca or Madrid in a year or two imo, first time I saw him I thought he was very clearly a special player.
Oh, not doubting the logic - I just mean it seems like the kind of story the media always runs with when a manager chances jobs. Usually phrased as a 'raid' on his old club. Just thinking about how often it actually materialises. Not that we'd expect it, but it's natural the manager might suggest a player he's coached as a potential transfer target, and it's natural the player in question would see it as a good move if they've enjoyed working under that manager. Just looking at Prem table now there's a few. Matic/Jose at Utd, Jorginho/Sarri at Chelsea, Richarlison/Silva at Everton. But yeah, not too regular occurrence and I think we're more likely to shop at Feyenoord or PSV than Ajax this summer.Oh, not doubting the logic - I just mean it seems like the kind of story the media always runs with when a manager chances jobs. Still pretty good. If you're complaint is our transfer policy then the argument should be that we attempt no transfers at all, since we've bought with, at best, mixed success everywhere.
Levy will decide who stays or goes at the end of the season. But I would have a hefty wager that Doherty, Dier, Davies, Hart and probably Bale are all at Spurs after the window closes. Dele is 50/50 IMO.There are some other questionable rankings here but the one the jumps out first is why is Doherty keep and Reguilon not sure?
How are we getting a better LB than Reguilon? Even if you ignore the massive other needs we have on this team there are so few better LB options than him I don't see how he can be not sure.
Alli, Davies, Dier, Hart, Bale as keep makes no sense either.
Plenty of better players than El Burro, I have absolutely no idea what you see in him.

You are another who won't list the squad and say who should stay or go.
Fuck me, you don't even see your own fucking irony do you. What I see in him? He was on the team of the season in La Liga last year, far from just me who see his clear skill.
The fact you keep trying to shit on him is baffling.
