Any coach worth their salt should be demanding 4-5 players and minimum 100m spent... possibly net.

We've got way too many players that have hung out in this squad for years and years just setting an example that mediocrity is not only acceptable, but even encouraged. Without a major transfer initiative, it sets the expectation that the new coach/manager isn't in charge and who they are answerable to so much as being "just the new guy".
I don’t disagree but there is no chance in hell we will have a 100m net spend this summer.

Seems we may yet see the back of Harry Kane. Can't blame him. At least he spoke the truth about Jose.

Amazing how Kane, Son, Lucas, Lamela, Ndombele, PEH, Reggie were sad to see him go. Seems like all those who improved and/or showed their passion on the pitch. I wonder who actually celebrated.

And all the while, we are being linked with a host of Bargain Bin players again. It's sad to think the next manager will come in and be handed players a certain Chairman will decide on.

It took 3 years for Klopp to start a challenge. And 4 years to achieve success. Man United did best holding in to a manager for many years. Their board backing every one of his decisions, even benching David Beckham in his prime. Spurs have had 10 managers in 20 years.

Bale wages even subsidizes are still massive.

I don't care if we can get zero for them, moving them out is most important. I have no idea what we could get for any of them, based on what most posters have said here is that we would be lucky to get 1m for the group.
You might not care if we get zero for them, but I assure you Levy does.

We won’t be selling 16 players this summer, so forget about that for a start!

Seems we may yet see the back of Harry Kane. At least he spoke the truth about Jose.

"Mourinho is a fantastic manager," Kane said after last night's London Football Awards. "He has managed the biggest players at the biggest clubs in the world. He came in with a real understanding of what he wanted."

"We had good conversations early on and that continued. I have always liked to drop deep, but the biggest change was to ensure people were running in behind if I was dropping deep. We just had a good relationship and it was just a good match-up."

"It was a shame that we could not go on and do better things or win any trophies, but I will take the experience I had with him for the rest of my career."

“If we win the last five games now and get good results from other teams and we somehow get into the Champions League then, obviously, it will be a bit of a brighter note."

"But all in all, we know we have got to definitely improve going into next year if we want any chance of trying to compete at the highest level.”

My american bias is coming through, but I would keep an eye on Brendan Aaronson at RBS.

Mentioned him before, but he is a fun little kid that reminds me a lot of Mason Mount in terms of work rate, stature, and ability on the ball.
