Has to either be world class or a big talent, some of the replacement names on here is frankly embarrassing

That ship had sailed after he renewed his contract. Even if Levy has a change of heart (unlikely) and starts to spend, Grealish would be overpriced at the fee Villa would sell.grealish should be priority if theres any hope of us getting him. then its getting a whole new back four, and probably a new striker is kanes off. oh and a keeper too. busy summer indeed. expect alfie devine to break through this year, that kid looks like he has that real specialness about him already.
im more looking forward to seeing the back of some of these useless wankers than i am people coming in, never detested so many players at once. proper dirty wage thiefs
deoends what you think overpriced is. 80m is fair for a player of that quality in this current market. we paid 40 for that donkey sanchez..grealish is worth 10 of himThat ship had sailed after he renewed his contract. COVIDS happens, some expensive signings not working out, and the timing of our stadium project means 80mil now is a big deal under Levy or not, deoends what you think overpriced is. 80m is fair for a player of that quality in this current market. we paid 40 for that donkey sanchez..grealish is worth 10 of him
If we had bought Ollie Watkins last summer we would have a decent replacement for Harry Kane.
surely if we get 100+ for kane we need to get at least one marquee player in. we cant be taking 40m gambles like we have been.COVIDS happens, some expensive signings not working out, and the timing of our stadium project means 80mil now is a big deal under Levy or not,
It was £34m with add ons I believe. I have a good memory for transfer fees. I can remember how much players were sold for, back in the seventies. He was what 25m?
Any chance we get a Kane replacement for anything close to that? Plus we get the benefit of having him all year.
Another frustrating miss from our transfer team.
Weird in how you got there in the first paragraph (in that similar can be said of Kane) but the conclusion is sound. In fact, that conclusion is always sound because strikers don't create their own goals. We need to stop crediting Harry with that elusive and illusory ability. He offers very little other than scoring goals and is very reliant on other players creating those chances for him to finish. I think there is a clear floor with him but he will limit our attack with how little he can do other than finish moves created by others.
I think for his cost we could get a better player at another position to create those chances and get someone cheaper to finish them.
If Kane is sold, we indeed can afford a marquee signing, but it doesn't mean we can pull it off as we want. Grealish holds all the card last window, but he didn't try to push for the move, and Villa didn't blink at their hard ball. Now with his new contract, Villa can ask for whatever we would sell Kane for. We're just not in strong position to negotiate. If only there are a host of other options at similar price, it would be feasible. That's my point.surely if we get 100+ for kane we need to get at least one marquee player in. we cant be taking 40m gambles like we have been.
Lamptey, Bissouma & Daka are very high on my wishlist.Assuming we don't sell Kane this summer
Should sell/banish to Mordor:
Dier, Winks, Sissoko, Lamela, Hart, Aurier
Maybe sell, maybe don't, depends on the offer, whatever:
Dele, Lucas, Sanchez, Doherty, Lloris
Should buy (at least):
1-2 RB/RWB, 1 CM, 1 CB, 1 ST, 1 GK
Realistic targets (price, desire to leave/be sold, linked with, etc..):
Tariq Lamptey, Jayden Bogle, Yves Bissouma, Joachim Andersen, Patson Daka, Mike Maignan
All of this obviously will be driven by the new manager (and hopefully DoF), so that needs to be sorted ASAP, hopefully next week.
If we do it right (IMO) then not a one. The only exception might be Hugo if we are letting him go on a free. How many that were in the season opener's 11 will be in next season's?
We don’t need a 30 year old. We need to just go young and give them a few years to learn to play with each otherBarcelona might be looking to move Griezmann on, he's 30 but is still a very capable forward.
Might fancy a move to London/Premier League, can't see any of United, Chelsea, City or Liverpool being interested.
Eh ever noticed what Cavani is doing at ManU? This obsession with age is ridiculous. If a player is good he must be brought in, "long term projects" are b.sWe don’t need a 30 year old. We need to just go young and give them a few years to learn to play with each other
Fix it for youErik Ten Hag will be new manager.
Kane will go to Man Utd for £80m+ Van de Beek.
We don’t have 1/4 of the squad they do. Cavani isn’t even a regular starter. He was brought in to be a super subEh ever noticed what Cavani is doing at ManU? This obsession with age is ridiculous. If a player is good he must be brought in, "long term projects" are b.s
