Eh ever noticed what Cavani is doing at ManU? This obsession with age is ridiculous. If a player is good he must be brought in, "long term projects" are b.s

Cavani likely didn’t cost close to what Grieszman will and United are more competitive than we are.

I guess if he comes cheap it would work but probably a guy that was a better fit a year of two ago when we were challenging for top 4.

I think we need to spend that kind of money on younger players that will be a long term solution.

I am amazed no one seems to have suggested going for Michael Olise at Reading. Young, incredibly talented and within Levy’s price range (rumour locally that he has a buy out clause between £8m and £12m).

If we are going to have a mass clear out I would much prefer us to go down the Dortmund route and recruit the top young talent from across Europe than signing some washed up ‘superstar’.

Go with youth and high pressing attacking football.

No more egotistical so called "superstars" that cannot understand the basic fundamentals of football or teamwork.

Keep Sessegnon, Skipp, Foyth at the club this season. All have shown they're more competent than the frauds currently in our first team.

NO MORE DIER, WINKS, SISSOKO, LAMELA, AURIER & SANCHEZ THEY'RE NOT EVEN GOOD ENOUGH TO WARM OUR BENCH.

bus-conductor bus-conductor Five Five and any other professional scouts. What do you know of Mahdi Camara at St. Etienne? Seems to be a similar build and profile to Bissouma.
If there is something there worth getting excited about, then I've missed it, because I was left open-mouthed when the BT commentator was talking him up last weekend for a big move to a PL club.

Maybe reachingforthestars reachingforthestars will have a better answer for you.

I really don't think this is going to be the summer of upheaval we so desperately need.

The Euro's is surely going to mess with transfers, there will be injuries to potential targets etc. not to mention a half-baked pre-season with the new manager.

The new boss is surely going to come in and want to give the squad a fresh slate too - I'm convinced that Sissoko, Winks, Dier etc. will all still be playing for us next season.

It's going to be a grim 12-18 months.

That's the spirit!

It's really this simple IMO, the new manager needs to very quickly find out who wants to be here next season. I think we need an clean slate where Levy finds out exactly who wants to leave and get rid for what we can, take the 5 mil less just to move them on. That's high profile or not. If Kane wants gone, then he's the only one we stand out ground on price. Let Son go, honestly every fucking player over the age of 23 that says they want out we move on. Take that money and some actual investment from club on top and buy quality in key areas, let the squad be thin next season and start pushing our youth a bit more. If we get Europa conference league, let the subs and youth play the competition why the core team focus on the league and domestic cups.

We can't expect everything to work next season but intent and a new identity will go a very long way. Getting back into the Top 6 has to be the main goal next season with Top 4 our outside objective but mainly expected for the season after.

Such a big change to our squad is going to take a bit of time but as long as the signs are there fans will be on board.

Any player not excited and ready for the new challenge of getting this clubs fucking respect back needs to be out the door and in for new blood

Anything short of a full scale revolution in personnel this football club isn’t going far enough. Some of the players on our books that have absolutely no chance of progressing into anything more than mediocre mid table players MUST be shipped off. Sissoko, Sanchez, Dier, Aurier, Davies, Winks, Lamela and that is being generous to some of the others such as Ndombele and lo Celso who still have it ALL to prove.

Whoever comes in needs to bring a sense of purpose and spirit to this team that the fans can be proud of because at this this moment I can’t stand most things Spurs, in particular the players and levy.

Whoever we sell/buy...I would like to see Skipp, Sessegnon and Tanganga in the first team squad next season getting plenty of gametime.

I don't think this squad is that bad, it's just lack of any tactics over long period of time, or even pattern of play that brought us to the point where a lot of peope wanna get rid of them all.

SELL:
Sanchez
Dier
Aurier
Winks
Lamela
Rose
Sissoko

Doherty, Davies, Lucas, Bergwijn and Dele are good enough to be part of the squad, or just subs. We can't sold them all.

Lloris - RB, Toby, CB, Reguilon - Hojbjerg, Ndombele - Lo Celso, Son, RW - Kane(or new CF if he leaves).

If Kane goes + money for the ones who needs to be sold, there is good amount of momey for us to buy 3 - 4 good players.

CB ( maybe even 2)
RB
RW
CF

Another midfielder would help us too.

What I would like to see - squad wise

Goalkeepers

Hugo Lloris
Joe Hart
NEW GK

Defenders

Matt Doherty (think he would still work if used in the right system - so dependant on how style)
Sergio Reguilon
Toby Alderweireld (to mentor players like Rodon)
Joe Rodon
Japhet Tanganga
Ben Davies
Ryan Sessegnon
Juan Foyth
New RB
New CB (experienced)

Centre Mid/Attacking Centre Mid

Pierre-Emile Hojberg
Giovani Lo Celso
Dele Alli
Lucas Moura
Tanguy Ndombele
Oliver Skipp
NEW CM

Wingers

Steven Bergwijn
Heung Min-Son
Gareth Bale
NEW RW

Forwards

Harry Kane (well he's not gone yet so ultimately until he does, he stays in my 'would like to keep' list. I realise very unlikely)
New CF

I mentioned him months back. So much great young talent in the championship right now. I fully agree with this post!

I haven’t watched much of St Etienne this year, and what I have I can’t say I paid much attention to him. Without the ball he worked hard against Lille and got his foot in plenty, he seems like a robust and tenacious fucker, but I’m not sure how dynamic he is or his great he is with the ball/technically etc, or what he’s got between his ears, I’d need to see more of him.

Wouldn't be looking at Ings as a Kane replacement. Injuries and age.

Two of Vlahovic, Malen, Daka, Toney, Depay, Silva, Isak.

Sancho*, Neto, Gouiri, Aouar, Gonzalez, Caquaret, Bissouma, Wamangituka, Bailey, Baku, Nkunku, Kamada, De Paul, Olise, Buendia, DaSilva. ((*Okay.. maybe not. )

So many good players out there, attack this summer with the right attitude and we can end up with a very bright future.
