The talk at the moment is that Man City have turned their attention towards Jack Grealish and that Kane has been put on the back burner. It's become painfully obvious that Kane wants it a lot more than Man City do and I think they're prepared to wait until next summer when his value has gone down a bit:

Why can't Kane realise that he's leaving a club that adores him as "one of our own" for a club that doesn't owe him a thing and can pretty much take or leave him? The sad thing is that he probably won't realise what he's losing until it's too late and he's left with a bunch of meaningless medals and City move him on without a second thought.

These medals are not meaningless , they might be to a few Spurs fans, not to the guys who are winning them.

I don’t blame Kane for wanting medals and City with their money is as close as you get but it’s entirely because of their money they have success thus if City don’t pay up they won’t get and Kane needs to realise that. If City or even United truly want him they will pay the 180-200m or whatever it takes.

So in 2021 we haven't been linked, we're talking about a player we were linked with 2 years ago now?
In which case, time to get Leandro and Berahinho done!

You're not suggesting this.....are you?
Wingers or advanced playmakers are the least of the team's priorities right now

If Dele and Moura were on their way out then he wouldn't have been a bad option to have, cheap transfer fee (albeit hefty wages), but he brings much needed experience and a credible goal threat along with creative brilliance

They are not meaningless they are just blood tainted. Man City are built on blood money and if our media had any honour they would be chasing the likes of Sheikh Mansour and Abrahmovic out of the British game they have done more harm to it than good.

The harm they have done to the game is not seen obviously at the Top of the game it is the clubs below the top in the Championship and below where they spend well beyond their means. If you look at the Championship it is the most over leveraged league in the world over 80% of the clubs are in incredible amounts of transfer debt and we could see most the lower divisions disappear if something is not done to address this.

I can't understand why Spurs fans think our love is enough for the best CF in a generation.
He's good enough to have every medal in his cabinet but he has none.
And the club he's given everything to are letting him down year after year.
If all of us can see Levy has been keeping us ticking over on just enough money to make profits every year and avoid too much success or failure, do you not think Kane can't see it?

He's there seeing us finish 2nd and thinking "right, let's push on and go for it" and nothing happens.
He's there with Mourinho in charge and thinking "right, let's push on" and we signed Matt fucking Doherty and Joe fucking Hart.

And Kanes always said "as long as Spurs stay competitive then I'm happy to stay"

A loanee keeper, a 20 year old kid, Nuno. Is that screaming AMBITION!! at anyone??

I hate everything City stands for but it's nothing new, Forest bought Francis for 1M in 1979 and I expect fans of other clubs felt the same as we do now.

Every year, since the beginning of time clubs have pushed the financial boundaries as it the quickest way to success. United did it for Decades.

The only difference with City and Chelsea is the speed and volume of the cash injection. Jealously of some fans fuels the anger, for others it's the realisation that it's all about the money.

A gradual increase is easier to ignore...

He’s also looking to set up his dumb fuck agent of a brother for life with his commission from any move. Can understand some reasons but disappointed at the lack of respect for the fans in how he’s going about it.

Bit different though when it’s literally a country supporting you or a gangster mega oil baron. They can’t just buy 1-2 decent players they can build a superstar 20+ man team and no need to sell to fund anything.

Only way to top the current situation is if the CCP of China bought a club then spent billions getting Messi, Haaland etc.

That's what man United did for 20 years though?
They were miles ahead of the rest of the league financially and that reflected on their spending and their success.

In some ways I welcome(d) the new money as it actually created competition.

By weakening United it opened up the league. City may at the moment be laughably at the top of the table but I think their dominance creates competition behind them for the next 3 spaces. They don't own the cups as we've seen.

Yeh but they didn’t do it via an owner, they had a huge fanbase and under Fergie rose to the top at exactly the right time just as the old first division was being replaced by the premier league. It was not an artificial construct like City is.

It doesn't really bother me how they did it. The league wasn't fair then and it's not fair now.
If the billionaire owners hadn't arrived, United would have 10 more titles and anyone threatening them would have their best players tapped up and bought every year.

At least there's more happening these days.

Yeh but you can respect United. If you have a truly great manager like Fergie and then a bit of luck (class of 92) you can accept it and say they did well. If however you spend net over £1bn and just keep spending and spending and spending it’s like a cheat code on CM or a 100m runner injecting themselves with steroids, their is no glory, they might as well be given 15 men to play the game as well.

DIsagree. Forest earnt the money to spend on Francis by being successful. They, or Liverpool or United didn't hoover up every good player, every good youngster. Football used to be cylical but what City and Chelsea have done is move the playing field. They may have the odd, rare season they dip but generally they will be top 4 and winning trophies until something is done.
