I hate everything City stands for but it's nothing new, Forest bought Francis for 1M in 1979 and I expect fans of other clubs felt the same as we do now.

Every year, since the beginning of time clubs have pushed the financial boundaries as it the quickest way to success. United did it for Decades.

The only difference with City and Chelsea is the speed and volume of the cash injection. Jealously of some fans fuels the anger, for others it's the realisation that it's all about the money.

A gradual increase is easier to ignore...

don’t cry , all the PL enjoy the money :)

I can't understand why Spurs fans think our love is enough for the best CF in a generation.
He's good enough to have every medal in his cabinet but he has none.
And the club he's given everything to are letting him down year after year.
If all of us can see Levy has been keeping us ticking over on just enough money to make profits every year and avoid too much success or failure, do you not think Kane can't see it?

He's there seeing us finish 2nd and thinking "right, let's push on and go for it" and nothing happens.
He's there with Mourinho in charge and thinking "right, let's push on" and we signed Matt fucking Doherty and Joe fucking Hart.
Exactly the vast majority of fans are fed up with ENIC, I can only imagine how Kane feels

The talk at the moment is that Man City have turned their attention towards Jack Grealish and that Kane has been put on the back burner. It's become painfully obvious that Kane wants it a lot more than Man City do and I think they're prepared to wait until next summer when his value has gone down a bit:

Why can't Kane realise that he's leaving a club that adores him as "one of our own" for a club that doesn't owe him a thing and can pretty much take or leave him? The sad thing is that he probably won't realise what he's losing until it's too late and he's left with a bunch of meaningless medals and City move him on without a second thought.
Meaningless medals, eh? As opposed to the "one-club player" mega medal that all world class footballers so desperately chase? Sure.

20 years from now he'll be sitting down with Grealish who will be showing him his 2 CL winners and 4 PL winners medals and Harry will whip out that boyhood club medal and reduce Grealish to tears.

Chelsea after bidding twice for Lukaku. Interesting to see who they go for if that doesn't go through, Vlahovic, Martinez, Calvert Llewin, Ings?

Also mentions that a source in Italy figures another Chelsea bid could trigger a sale, and Inter moving for Duvan Zapata. If something like that is in the pipeline it might firm Atalanta's resolve on holding out for a the full 55m for Romero.

Always interesting to follow how events elsewhere in the transfer market can help or hinder your own club's business.

Funnily enough I watched and thought the same re: CCV.

Why Celtic make such bizarre foreign signings is beyond me. The Swedish CB looks terrible as do the Israeli and Japanese forwards.

Gerrard has proven you just need to get solid Champo players up there and they will do the job.
Starfelt is a good quality signing based on when I have seen him play for the national team. But he didn't looked in sync with any of his other defenders. And their goalkeeper has not impressed either. I could see Starfelt work out for them with the right partner next to him. Maybe that is CCV.

Starfelt is an aggressive defender so having someone like CCV who can stay back and act as a buffer if the attacker gets around Starfelt makes sense. Like how Jan tended to stay back and let Toby or Davinson roam around.

A club that adores him but has won 1 trophy in 21 years and doesn't match his ambition, the manager search was disastrous. I think he would stay if the club looked like it could challenge for top honours but we can't. We should get his replacement now and let Kane go next season.

Didn't see much aggression from him just saw him being bullied by a terrible striker for most of the game.

If a club bids £100m next summer, yep.

He’s also looking to set up his dumb fuck agent of a brother for life with his commission from any move. Can understand some reasons but disappointed at the lack of respect for the fans in how he’s going about it.
Fans are very selective in their "respect" as well. Look at the "respectful" names allotted to particular players, like Hart, Doherty, Aurier, Dier, Sanchez, Davies, Moura, Sissoko, Winks.
And maybe Kane feels that Spurs as a club (i.e. Levy & Lewis) and some of his teammates did not"respect" his own ambitions...

DIsagree. Forest earnt the money to spend on Francis by being successful. They, or Liverpool or United didn't hoover up every good player, every good youngster. Football used to be cylical but what City and Chelsea have done is move the playing field. They may have the odd, rare season they dip but generally they will be top 4 and winning trophies until something is done.
And if they finish outside the top 4, Abramovic just lumps in 250M like he did 2 years ago
