him and vlahovic would be dream st pair if kane leaves, compliments each other well. we would be stronger of for it especially if we get laporte in the deal
Why exaclty should we be in for two foreign players from league without any pace? In Serie A even Vinicius level striker like Immobile (who was useless in BL) can be constant top scorer...

I am not saying that they would be bad players for sure... no. But I would much rather go for Abraham + Martinez for example.

For those who believe in The Goats as SC...

As it stands, we're back in pole position...
Sevilla want Sanchez and Chelsea won't meet their cash-only asking price for Kounde. It could, and likely will, all change again though before it's over and the player still prefers Chelsea.

I do believe that 3/4this story to be true: that Chelski may be unwilling to meet the asking price of Sevilla (but that is normal when negotiations start anyway), that Kounde still prefers Chelski and that the situation will like change again.
So despite of having 3/4 of his facts right,it still makes this ITK totally hoax.
And Spurs aren't in pole position - unless it's from a reverse angle...

Fabrizo: "Koundé agreed personal terms with Chelsea two days ago - he’s buzzing to join CFC."

How would they know that Kane spoke to a non-English Man City player? All that was needed was to have his brother and agent to let Man City know about Harry's intentions. According to this story, Kane based his possible transfer to Man City on using a non-English Man City player as an intermediate, who would tell the top-bosses at Man City that he wanted to join them, and then get it confirmed. Sound like a bad spy story to me.
It's been a well-known fact since the end of last season that Kane wanted to leave Spurs this summer. Despite of all the rumours being circulated neither Harry nor his agent have denied the rumours.

The gamble is you don't take the 100m and he stops being useful.
Then you have no kane and no money.

The gamble is you bend over to player power or pressure from other clubs and lose everything. Then you're just a bitch players/clubs know they can have their way with.

That's far more costly than a depreciating £100m asset.

And let's be honest, as I'm sure Modric and Berbatov have been mentioned - bar some sulking at the start players get on with playing. Even if their motivation is to earn a move away.

I don't see any reason to expect less from Kane

Chelsea won’t pay the release clause and neither will we. Do we really want to sign a player who doesn’t want to come.

Berbatov was a disgrace in his second season. Not celebrating goals and walking about with his head down.
Still got invited back when White Hart Lane ended.
It will be a bit sad if Harry ends up like that.

Well no, it doesn't work that way.
You bend over and take 100m from City and you have 100m.
You don't take the money and Kane pretty much does the basic job of arriving on a match day and then you lose 30+ goals, finished 16th and you don't have 100m.

It's now up to Levy to figure out what is actually best for this club.
If he really had big balls he'd put his hand in his pocket and sign a replacement for Kane and tell Kane he's not going. That's what is best for this club.
But we ALL know ENIC will never ever break the bank

Bale also skipped training to force a move (with 3 years remaining on his contract) and was welcomed back as a player..
If he'd not had all the fitness issues I'd welcome him back again for the coming season.

Still did enough to earn a big money move to utd, on our terms

And next time City, Utd, Chelsea decide they want your star player guess what? You bend over again. And again, and again... You always lose what you're building on the basis it suits others.

Kane going on strike and us finishing 16th? Come on, that's pure hyperbole. If Kane stays he'll do his job, as I say even if only to get his move next summer. He's not just going to disappear.

For Kane to go it must be on our terms. And if Grealish is a £100m player, then Kane is far more than that.

I'm not averse to selling, love Kane but selling him can rebuild the side - there can be an upside and ultimately the club is greater than any one player.

But imo it is essential to do business that suits us, not Kane, not City, not anyone. It's also essential we don't end up as a Dortmund like factory for making talent for other teams to poach at will.

If you want genuine ambition from the club, rolling over at the first sign of pressure isn't going to fulfill it.

Kane is unique and a good example of why homegrown players are a burden not a blessing.

He wants the PL record for goals which he can't do abroad.
Transfer fees have, or had, gone mental so his value is seemingly high.
If he was a foreign player we could surely palm him off abroad somewhere but he will only go to an English club.
Not only that but as if stands, only one club want him and he wants them.
What we actually need is Chelsea or United to start a bidding war.

Let's flip it round though. Some people on here have moaned that Atalanta aren't being fair by holding put for more money for Romero.
Some fans saying they should just let him go.
What's the difference?

Totally agreed with this.

I guess it is some weird kind of coping mechanism but on some weird level I'd be open to see Kane sold for 160 mEUR. He is obviously best striker I've seen to play for Spurs. He is world class and has ability to read and influence the game on another level to others.

But people focus too much on Harry Kane situation and too little on Tottenham Hotspur situation. If player wants to go we have to make sure he leaves on terms which is acceptable for us + we have to act wisely in replacing him.
