My bad! :mourbye:

.....Still; the same would apply. It would be about player development; not a pecking order.

Keep the faith; we're clearly trying to sell Sissoko if not Winks too.
IF, big if, we loan out Skipp, it needs to be because we have better players in the squad and he won't get game time.

As it stands, he should be miles ahead of those 2, if he's not to me it suggests that either Nuno feels he has to play those 2 ahead of him, pecking order, or more worryingly perhaps that he actually rates them higher somehow.

There is absolutely no logical reason why come September he should be out on loan if either or both of those two are still hanging around. You mention player progression but as far as I'm concerned if our squad is still occupied by the likes of Sissoko/Winks then he should be getting plenty of minutes here to develop.

This obviously is based on the supposition that if they're still loitering then we won't have bought in better midfielders as it wouldn't be financially prudent to be stockpiling.

I really just can't see any potential scenario where loaning out Skipp at this stage makes any sense for any party.

If we sell our talisman (like they just have) are you saying you'll be content with doing the rest of our business cheaply?
My concern is, that there is a feeling of inevitability about Kane's departure, this feels like every other time a player has downed tools and eventually we are forced to cave.
I don't like it and feel we should hold firm at all costs.

However, I can see it happening towards the back end of the window, and I'm concerned we won't have the time to get the replacements in and will have to muddle through with Son as our only goalscorer.

I'm frustrated that we haven't sorted out our obvious defensive frailties yet, I think if we get Romero over the line that's a start but we also need to strengthen at right back, and we could do with a partner for Romero as I don't think any of the others cut it in the here and now. Rodon could be the player but that's a big gamble.

So I'm frustrated that Villa can just do the business efficiently. Ings will net them 15 goals next season (barring injuries) which is a great bit of business for £25m

Also, Newcastle, fucking Newcastle???

What does it say about our development of players if we felt like sending our most highly rated youth prospect to be moulded by Steve Bruce at Newcastle was a better shout than keeping him in house?

Whatever people think of Mourinho and his sacking, this was my biggest concern with replacing him. He was "almost" there with regards to the penny dropping. He had been using Winks, Dier, Davies less and less.
I always felt any new coach would give them all another go.

haven't we bid that figure like 4 times already?
It was £12.9 million before. We've waited over a month before making a second bid. Like I said we have a DOF but Levy is still pulling the strings.

While we act like little bitch mother fuckers, they'll get snapped up.
Then we'll lose Kane.
Incoming...

What difference would it have made? Bed still be at the Olympics.

I'm probably gonna be very unpopular now, but I think we should just sell Kane.

First of all, he has done so much for the club by staying this long. I understand why he wants trophies - it's not going to be here. It goes without saying that I don't like him staying away from training - that's a cunt move - but aside from that I think he's earned a big transfer. Of course, we should be compensated appropriately. We shouldn't let him go for peanuts.

Second, we need a rebuild, and I don't think it's bad that Kane is not a part of it. So much is relying on him to make the game - basically, players were just giving him and Son the ball last season and hoping something would happen. When Eriksen collapsed during the EUROs, I believe it might have helped the Danish team to play more freely (not that I hope that will ever happen again). Now, the Danish players couldn't just pass the ball to Eriksen and expect he would do something magical with it - they had to find other ways. I think the team will be more free if we sell Kane.

Third, with a butt load of money, we get interesting opportunities. If we use the money wisely and buy accomplished players that can develop - like Kane has done over the last 5-6 years - we might get something that's better in the long run. Like it happened under Poch.
Of course, we're in need of profiles, but we need players that can play together as a team. Kane cannot do that if doesn't want to be here.

Sell Kane for at least £130m and then let's move on.

People are too binary. Either it's this mythical £160m or nothing.
He'll go. It won't be £100m and it won't be £160m
Doesn't take a genius
But ENIC must get their over draft sorted now and start the rebuild ASAP. We can't haggle for 3 weeks then sell him and rely on Son all season

There is always a risk another club will want a player that we're after.

Only when we go after ones people have heard of.

I don't claim to be a fountain of knowledge of football, especially outside the PL.

I've not heard of Golini, Gil, Tomiyasu or Romero,
I have heard of Kounde, Vlahavic, Lukaku and a number of players we just won't get.

We're going to have to replace Kane from 1 or 2 tiers down from the tier Kane is in.
Most of our signings are at that level. As soon as a club with actual ambition comes into the conversation We're dead in the water.

You've heard of Ings, were strongly linked with him, now villa have him, same with Leon Bailey. Other clubs have heard of Golini, Gil, Tomiyasu and Romero that's the point, A club like Leicester is now a decent option.
