Why are you obsessed with net spend rather than whether we’ve dramatically improved our squad?

All the signs are positive - we are literally in some sort of weird dream space of being linked to amazing players who will improve our starting XI and bench with likely 7 new players coming in and nobody important leaving .

This is as good as it gets buddy.
Well said.

Hate to say it, but if we were to go for Jesus we wouldn't go for Richarlison and if we don't go for Richarlison then they will.
As fun as it would be to troll them, there's 2-3 players that fill roles for either club.

Tottenham aren’t the only ones keen to add the left-sided centre-back to their ranks this summer, with the big-money pockets of Newcastle also lurking in the background, according to TMW.

Either way, this was the insight Vickery shared on Hincapie and his recent rise into first-team stardom, for both club and country.

“This is another where I have just been delighted to have been proved wrong,” said Vickery. “He’s first-choice for Ecuador. He’s a left-sided centre-back.

“He has a nice left foot. Brings the ball out of defence very well. Making it interesting perhaps for a back three formation. If you are going to play a three, then two of those must be able to bring the ball out of defence.

“When he went into the Ecuador team a year ago, the Ecuador coach was really throwing in youth. When he threw him in I thought ‘no’. During that Copa America, he was making a howler a game.

“But if you are a centre-back, then you have to make mistakes as you develop. Subsequently, he moved already from Ecuador to Argentina and he had a good season in Argentina. He’s done very, very well in the Bundesliga as well.

“Again, I would be a little bit worried at a lack of physicality. But I have been very, very impressed by his progress. And I have learnt to trust the judgement of Alfaro, the Ecuador coach because he keeps going for youth.”

How many journalist's are using our name to drum up interest in players now?

The Jesus one stinks of Woolwich putting that out there so they can claim he chose them over us, which is what they all seem to get wet dreams over.

I trust Tim Vickery's verdict a lot. He was one of a very few who knew straight away that Emerson was a bad deal. He explained in detail about Emerson's mixed record in Brazil before moving to Spain.

I reckon they need Richarlison more than Jesus.

Proper striker, and physical. Very few players in that squad are leaders. Richarlison wouldn't take the normal shit from that powder puff MF. But then he wants CL and no player could look at LEgoman and think - "Yeah, they'll get top 4 this season".

Sterling as witnessed in his last England game is pretty much a one trick pony. He certainly doesn’t have the football intelligence of Kane. Also he does score now and then some great goals but most of his goals for citeh are tap ins bcos of the way they play. Outside of that his contribution sometimes is minimal.
I wouldn't take too much notice of what he does for England when Waistcoat man is running the show

Pep gets much better performances out of him although he's still one of the most frustrating players

This.
And, IMO, the situation will get worse. England are gonna struggle now as Fraudgate struggles to learn how to be a coach and fails. A lot of England players are gonna get some serious stick when they go out of the WC without much of a fight. Hate to say it, Kane, as captain and chief goalscorer will likely take the brunt of it.
Hopefully he's broken Rooney's record by then and can retire from international football to extend his club career.

This is why Jesus will not solve Woolwich’s issues. He is not an elite striker, he is a good attacker who for us would provide decent cover for Kulusevski, Son and Kane.

For Woolwich they will not replace Aubameyang at his best with Gabriel Jesus.
