Kind of a shame, though gun to my head I do believe Richarlison is the more suitable player for our current needs. I fear Raphina (though I absolutely wouldn't turn him down) would simply be trying to compete with Kulusevski while I could see Richarlison being able to start in either Son or Kane's positions when required.

The scum's business is a little strange. Jesus was a no-brainer and will be a default starter (hence why he's settling for them) but I really don't see why they'd try for Raphina when they apparently hype Saka so highly and the money would be far better spent elsewhere on their team.
And they hype Martinelli as much as Saka who plays on the other side. I mean Raphina can play LW but it’s certainly not his strong suit.

Dream realistic signings
Bremer
Ndicka
Spence
Richarlison

That would be amazing business with the players we already have. And only a total spend of 155m ish. If we can sell some players we have cash to spunk in January too.

We need top quality CM Modric type, or we are going to be in trouble against tight team. We are also lacking a magician type of player. Raphina could be that guy, so losing him to Woolwich is going to be bad.
People should also stop dreaming. Obviously for complete players the sums are going to be high. Nothing wrong in 80m for 20 years old super talent.
The price are super higher compare to before, and even small clubs wanta big money for their top talent. Every single transfer is a risk.
Torres back in the day was world top striker, and proven in PL and he was total garbage in Chelsea.
Langlet or whatever his name is, is complete s...... If we end up with that guy, then shame on us.

Also does people read what Conte was saying ? He pretty much stated that he ain't happy with the depth of the team. He also stated that there are going to be 5 subs, pretty much hinting that we need larger squad, and to have his options.

On top of that he literally said that he is not happy with just competing for top 4, and wants to challenge for title.
Good luck doing that with only transfers in the region of 25-35m.
You may sign good players for that money, but also in that region you going to have a lot of misses.
Also most of the time you won't get complete players for that money.
For a plain example of that, is for let's said for 40m. you may get a good defender, that is good at tackling and positioning, but not that good in air, and terrible with the ball on foot.

Anyway i prefer to spend big on a very young player, like in the region of 20-23 years, compare to do that on 25-28 years old one.

I think it is more about the fact that in this scenrario we would put all emphasis on today, and would not have resources to prepare for tomorrow. While for example current club of Salah is just doing that...

But if you pay >1m EUR salary for trio that might still have contacts left when they are past their prime will tie your hands.

I doubt it

What are you on about?

We literally just bought an EPL MF for our first XI!!!

Agree, I don’t see why we are not going in for raphina. Just the sort of player to light up any gane especially. bus parkers. He would much needed starting 11 quality tithe squad. Also remember kulu is still young and there were games last season where he was ineffective and was then dropped/ rested next game. He may also a dip in form this season so no reason why we shouldn’t have gone for raphina. Goons are adding good PL quality to their forward line.

Son is -24.14
Kane is -21.15
Lacazette is -5.24
PEA is -2.76
Richarlison is -0.95 at Everton but +4.52 inc Watford
Nketian is +0.84
Werner is +9.60
Benteke is +10.49
Gabriel Jesus is +18.05

Edit: added Lacazette, PEA and Nketiah for shits and gigs.
Jesus +18.05?! Ha ha ha! Woolwich scouting at its best.

I don't disagree with you post, but would someone in here explain to me why so many scouts think that this kid is now and will become the best player in his position in World football?

Why are all of them so wrong?
Mate they can all be wrong, when I was younger I was the best player on the planet....

They just didn't see it.

Exactly, on top of that, there is always a chance someone even our best slips their form. Also competition in the team is always good and push you further and will improve the squad.
Look at Jesus for example. He was on a rotational principle in City, and still was happy and spend 6 years at them, and he helped them big time with his important goals.

More options also mean we will be more flexible in terms of tactics. We need options so we can surprise our opponents, and also play 3-4-3 and 3-5-2 when is necessary. And there is matches where just 2 midfielders are never going to be enough.

Kulu is great and i like him a lot, and he is very young and will become better and better, but he still lacking speed, and in some games we will definitely be better with a fast winger on that side.

Has Conte penned a new deal yet? It can't be healthy going into the season with him out of contract by the end of the season - Suggests there would be dramas come new year if negotiations break down.

I had him in my fpl team when he was at Watford, his ability and dribbling was fantastic but he'd miss chances.
His goalscoring record has been decent overall with Everton (although you'd have hoped for more than 10 goals last season given he played CF...).

One stat that could be quite useful- what is his goals vs xG conversion ratio? I saw a stat that in recent PL seasons, Kane & Son are by far the top with Jesus one of the worst. Wonder where Richarlison lies there.

I am not too into the stats. Sometimes the penny just drops with players though. Is that what happened with Richarlson in that last month of the season when he grew into being the main man or is that the only way to get him to perform at his top level? If he comes and isn’t that main person then will that cause him to drop off his level again. It’s a hard could revel at a bigger club and playing at a higher level. That’s the question I hope paratici and Conte are asking each other. If they haven’t we don’t want to end up with a £50m half arsed rotation option when instead we need someone who is completely on it.

Is Conte getting the signings he asked for last season? He may walk away if he doesn't before start of new season.

A few links to Hakan Çalhanoğlu from Inter Milan starting to emerge - Turkey's captain, can play as AM and CM, specialist free kick taker, has played almost 200 games for both Inter and AC Milan.

He has rejected us before, we are linked with a Turk almost every transfer window but never sign one, plus he loves Milan so much that he moved from AC to Inter just so that he could remain in the city. Next !
