Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This shows that rating players by stats often is not a good guide of talent spotting... On this scale Reece Oxford is rated as the 13th best U-23 center back in Europe - above Kounde, Araujo and no 2 to 7 are "google material"...

Of course. Any idiot knows that, Stats are secondary to the eye test in football. I think they are an indicator that can lead you to a prospect (to physically scout them), but not conclusive at all

Lets start by looking at our squad, based upon UEFA definitions, as at 1 July 2022 assuming Gollini loan option at £13m is not taken up, and both Sarr and Gil loans have ended and they return to Spurs first team squad, Romero's option is taken up, but we assume that Ndombele and Lo Celso are sold.:

Club Trained Players
Kane, Skipp, Winks, Tanganga, Austin (5 - minimum 4 players to get a full 25 man squad) .

Players trained at other clubs affiliated to The FA
Sessegnon (1)

We need a minimum of 8 players from the above two HG categories to have a full 25 man squad.

Overseas Trained Players
Lloris, Doherty, Romero, Sanchez, Dier, Rodon, Reguilon, Davies, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Lucas, Son, Bergwijn, Gil, Kulusevski and Sarr (total 16 - maximum 17 players)

Ins :
HG goalkeeper (Johnstone - WBA ?)
RWB )
CB x 2 ) One of these needs to be HG preferably
CM )
Striker )

Total - 6 in, really think that's the most we could get in, and get decent experienced quality players.

Outs :
Gollini - loan expired
Ndombele
Lo Celso
Doherty (upgraded RWB)
Sanchez (upgraded CB)
Rodon (upgraded CB)
Winks ? (Upgraded CM) But we may elect to retain an HG player as we have space if fee offered is insufficient to help pay for an incoming player

Would make sense long term to get Tanganga a season loan at a lower PL club if possible - he needs a run of games to get experience.

At least one incoming outfield player (plus the backup GK) needs to be HG as classified by UEFA

If a decent striker comes in I could see Bergwijn moving on for the right fee, also frees up an overseas trained player space.

I think White, Etete and Parrott need a Championship loan to gain experience and possibly join first team for 2023/24 season, rather than sit on bench in 2022/23.

Hello Daniel levys office can I help you?

Sorry.

Pardon?

Can you slow down please.

Oh sorry Antonio I didn't know it was you, but nope I'm afraid Daniel is still feeling ill

No that's not true! he's not hiding in the Caribbean. That's all rubbish fake news.

Yes I passed on your message and Daniel has it.

Was it really 4 weeks ago? Wow he has been ill a long time. But it is what it is.

Yes I mentioned your budget and I don't think Daniel is that flexible.

Nope Antonio I didn't mean flexible in that manner and I'm sure he's not physically flexible enough to put that there. I think you need to remember how much Daniel is paying you.

Yes I know Daniel promised world class when you came to the club and he has delivered.

Daniel has told the board that Harry has all the attributes to be one of the greats and we won't sell him no matter how much money. He is the world class player you were told you could shape the team around.

Don't be a silly billy, not kane, he meant winks.

Nope Im afraid I can't pass on that particular message as I don't feel the language is appropriate.

Yes and I know those words in Italian so I won't pass that on either.

Look I believe Daniel will definitely be back September 1st and you can talk then.

I wouldn't take any notice of those 2 gooner twats, they're just shit-stirring.

You guys really have to start looking a bit further than 'Gooners'. It's the reason some believe ending up on top of them on the log gives us bragging rights as if we win the League.

What they say makes sense. If you are a team that really wants a player, get in there, get things done and stop playing games. It make complete sense. It's as if, because they are 'Gooners', they are speaking crap. Wake up.

It's 2022. Gooners are in the same boat as us. We should be looking at chasing, Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool. They are Worldclass FCs. Instead we pride ourselves because we not Gooners. Yet even they can walk up to their trophy cabinet and smile at their trophies. Last time I visit White Hart Lane, our cabinet was quite Bare. I don't remember any trophies since.

Whilst you're probably being realistic i think we need to double those numbers on ins and outs to make proper progress. No way should Rodon, Winks still be here come 1st September. Gollini will be gone so we need another keeper, hopefully with proper succession planning not just another squad filler type. I'd be looking to change both right backs and would happily sell Hojbjerg as well. We could do with some more creativity somewhere, be it a 10, wing forward or deep lying playmaker.

The moment in which we see the true direction of travel as mid towards the mid 2020s.

The rest is just speculative bo!!ocks on everyone's part, mostly centred on position more than objectivity.

It's still early days at Everton but so far van de Beek has impressed the club - also in training. Maybe he could be the "missing piece" in CMF (if Man Utd. will be willing to sell him that is).

If you know how to use VDB properly, he's a fantastic player.

I get the feeling Man Ure are holding on to him si that Poch or (shudder) Ten Hag would get the best out of him.

Yes. They've played in the EPL and have been involved in a few transfers. I don't know about you but I haven't so they have a little more knowledge on the ins and outs. It would be really ignorant of me to believe different.

I've managed to make a bit of change trading Bitcoin, doesn't mean I'm Jordan fucking Belfort.

Please stop embarassing yourself with this nonsense, these two couldn't be more anti-Spurs if they tried, they are known WUM's and have a history of winding up Spurs and Spurs fans, what's more they talk on a platform designed to bait click and get people to phone in purely for revenue (although Simon Jordan is the only one worth listening to)

I cannot think of a worse possible example then these two muppets trying to talk about our club on that platform, you've literally fallen for the bait.

I cannot actually believe I'm having this conversation with a Spurs fan.
