Sell Reguillon back to Madrid and then buy Atal and Kostic.
Atal
what year is it GIF

Guys, what do you see as an option in buying RWB this summer? I doubt that Djed Spence, guy from championship, would upgrade our squad. Maybe a good signing for the future, but we must win now.

Maehle doesn't convince me this season, anyhow he would be a good player for Conte to work with. Lamptey has a lot of potencial, injury woes and height concerns me, but a good option for 30 milion. I think Brighton would be silly to turn down 30 milion, to be honest. I know that 50 milion has been mentioned, but right now Lamptey is far from a world beater.

Cash is another interesting option + home-grown. Atal and Mazraoui should be looked at too.

All upgrades on Emerson, but I don't see anything more in the transfer market that we can afford and is available.

After two years of piling up COVID losses, I imagine that there is going to be a very robust market for free agents this summer.

A couple of the top Serie A clubs, notably Juve and, I think, Inter have already adopted the pursuit of free agents as part of their business model. I always wondered why more of the top players didn’t let their contracts wind down.
Lot of risk that you do a cruciate and miss a year and then get a shittier deal and you have been able to get guaranteed money and a move for a long time. Kane basically behaved like that - presuming he could get a movw if he wanted one.

That's it right there.

Jones is 5'11".
Lamptey is 5'5".

You really need to be a special player to overcome this disadvantage.

Brighton are 7-12-10 in the PL this season. Lamptey has made 22 appearances (13 starts) this season, going the full 90 in only 6 of his 13 starts.

Brighton are 3-10-9 when Lamptey plays this season, and 4-2-1 when he doesn't.
Be very wary of that binary metric win when he plays lose when he don't. Its a deeply unreliable way to work out a players quality. I've seen some frankly crazy people playing that game with Son and Kane. Lamptey as an attacking option for Conte even with his lack of height would be a fantastic option. Obviously Hakimi would be better but that's not happening. If either Emerson or Doherty we're better in the final third we would be deadly. Some how we need to find a peak Rose and Walker from somewhere. My personal choice is Liveramento, and Ridley Baku Right side left wing backs I just can't decide.

Agree, Livramento probably my #1 at this moment (excepting Hakimi which would be a dream). Baku and Singo are two I don't really watch enough of but would be interesting, hopefully the club keeps a good eye on both.

Cash not quite good enough but a good player. Doubt Conte would want Lamptey, and I'm a bit unsure of him myself. Defending set pieces costs us a lot of points and I'd want any RWB we sign to be a help in that regard. Frimpong similar, looks a fun player but too small and risky.

Djed Spence a good prospect but not really the answer Conte will want at RWB. Would be great if we had a first choice and could bring him in as deputy. It's a tough one.

Livramento is a talented guy, but probably KWP would give more impact to this team, if we are talking about the present. Sorry, but Doherty right now is a better player than Timo.

Wilfried Singo is an interesting choice. Played all season in RWB position, which is good. Only 21 years old. Still don't know if he would make a big impact all of a sudden, coming here.

Who are the top 10 attacking RWBs in the world right now? And which one is most available/best/gettable? I have no idea who to suggest unfortunately, but I know we absolutely need to be looking at the best possible target that we can afford- significantly upgrading this position would provide the most improvement to the team right now. I'm not sure Livramento or Mahle is thinking big enough in terms of right-now talent/impact. Imagine a marauding beast of an RWB like young right-footed Bale consistently tearing up the right flank and letting Kulusevski cut across the top of the box? Its a hell of a tasty dream!

I would absolutely love it if we brought back KWP- everyone seems to forget but that kid sank three assists for us in a single game once upon a time. Hes got legit talent and Spurs in his DNA. Levy just needs to give a humble apology to him in person and get it done.

That "player" would cost £60M+ and end up at Man City or Real M.

He’sa very good player who I raced before Palace bought him, but he’s100% not a wing back and would be wasted away from the final third.

Really extremely disappointing we didn't move for Eze and Olise - as HG they would have been free hits squad wise and given us some really good squad options in attack at Bargain prices.

Really poor business, even if they turned out to not be world class but just decent, for the money we couldn't have gone far wrong, without wasting non HG squad spaces.

Neither Walker or Rose were particularly good in the final third. Rose wasn't much good in the defensive third either. But both at least brought "energy" to the position which is important when you are playing a back 4 and still want your FB's getting up and down constantly.

Liveramento and Baku seem like interesting shouts (from the bits I've seen of each) especially Liveramento. I don't dislike Cranston Cranston 's suggestions of Atal and Kostic. Frimpong at Leverkusen looks quite lively but only seen bits of him.

Hakimi would be the dream RWB. Theo Hernandez would be the dream LWB for me (who can also play LB).

I really liked Abraham, would have been a great deal at 40m and HG too. Shame Abramovic fucking off didn't happen a year ago. Not sure if Kane sticks around we'd want to pay his fee now to have him as back up, and I don't think they'd work together.

Versatility wise I still really like Leao (Milan) who can play wide or as a 9. Cheaper alternatives would be Embolo or Thuram (both at BMG) who can both play as wide attackers or as 9's. neither are going to be world class, but could give us depth and play instead of or with Kane in a 343/352.

lot of good ones i think dumfries has the ability and body for this league

hateboer is on the last yr of his deal too

got a feeling para is looking at these two since they are in the italian league now

hakimi wont come here unless we make top four and willing to spend over 60 mill for him

Meh.

Lamptey only has a couple of PL goals and assists to his credit... where's this idea that he'd be a fantastic offensive option coming from? Brighton's WHOLE problem is that they can't score goals.

Lamptey also only has 2 clean sheets in 22 appearances this PL season. LEAST among all Brighton defenders with ANY PL appearances.

Cucurella: 26 appearances, 4 clean sheets
Shane Duffy: 18 appearances, 4 clean sheets
Veltman: 25 appearances, 4 clean sheets
Webster: 15 appearances, 4 clean sheets
Dunk: 26 appearances, 6 clean sheets

This is more of an opportunity for squad depth rather than to add to our first team but if Everton were to go down, I’d snap up Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison. Would be good to have a second striker and English as well to top our homegrown quota
