I'm not sure. What is Richarlison's workrate like off the ball? He's always struck me as a player that is always on the hunt for space and prefers a free role. So playing in a system where his job involves disciplined positional play may not suit him.

In his last 5 games he has barely ventured back into his own half and averages only 30 touches of the ball per 90 minutes. For example, against us, Dele Alli saw more of the ball in 20 minutes that Richarlison did in 90 minutes.

He's at Everton- their coaching carousel has been insane during his whole career there. I'd like to think he'd thrive somewhere with better coaching and a bit more quality around him. You could of course be right though...

Without looking at any of his stats or even watching him play against any other team that is us, hard pass.

He’s all talk no end product when he played against us, and seems to be a massive sook to boot.
 
Imagine being told before the January window opened that we would replace our 2 most inform players in the starting 11 (Skipp / Moura), not get a backup striker and play Doherty as our first choice RB.

In Conte we trust!

Versatility wise I still really like Leao (Milan) who can play wide or as a 9. Cheaper alternatives would be Embolo or Thuram (both at BMG) who can both play as wide attackers or as 9's. neither are going to be world class, but could give us depth and play instead of or with Kane in a 343/352.

Chelski has learned from past mistakes and started to include buy-back clauses in players they're selling - including Abraham. The fee is apparently £68M, which I doubt Chelski wanna pay anyway.

I’ll never quite fathom why we left the model of picking up talent from below and developing them. So much of our development over a good decade and a half came about because we were getting this policy more right than wrong.

Talk about Richarlison is nonsense, no way he goes to a club where he’s not in the starting X1 and no way does he improve Son and Deki. I think we can expect a young CF prepared to learn from Kane or a Llorente type as back up

Maehle doesn't convince me this season, anyhow he would be a good player for Conte to work with. Lamptey has a lot of potencial, injury woes and height concerns me, but a good option for 30 milion. I think Brighton would be silly to turn down 30 milion, to be honest. I know that 50 milion has been mentioned, but right now Lamptey is far from a world beater.

Cash is another interesting option + home-grown. Atal and Mazraoui should be looked at too.

All upgrades on Emerson, but I don't see anything more in the transfer market that we can afford and is available.

There really hasn't been a big number of hyped right wingbacks this season oddly enough.

Like, outside of Livramento I can't name one that really stands out to me. Maybe Calabria but he is more of a traditional fullback with a bit of offensive drive than a wingback.

Scored in each of Everton's first 3 games this season then must have had an injury because he did not play again until January and has failed to score in 9 games.

I don't see how Eriksen would be easy, assuming we would want him then it suggests his time at Brentford has gone well, in which case Brentford will want to extend his stay (they have an option for a further 12 months).

If they do then we have to negotiate a fee with them, which decreases the ease of the deal.

Or, we are relying on Eriksen not signing on for the further 12 months (if he even has the option to walk away), which given the chance that Brentford took on him when seemingly nobody else would, I think would be out of character for him, I would have thought he'd want to repay their faith rather than come running back to his former club, who didn't want to take the chance and give him an opportunity to get back into the game when he needed it.

I think we missed our chance at an easy deal for him in January, and I thought it was severely lacking in class for Conte to then go talking to the media about possibly signing him in the summer just after he had joined Brentford (granted he may have been leddown that path by the line of questioning by a journo...).

Yeah, that’s what I meant when I said, I only think we’d be interested if we sold Kane. We aren’t going to pay 55-60m for a pure striker/9 while Kane’s still here.

But we really should at least look at getting someone who can play 9 and wide striker as Conte’s system really depends heavily on a fulcrum type up there, and Son is hopeless with his back to goal.
