Getting 27m for Bergwijn is really top notch. Will be our 5th biggest sale ever after Bale, Modric, Berbatov, and Walker.

Like Stevie a lot, think he’ll be great at Ajax and with the Dutch but he’s also got 8 goals in 83 games here. Considering teams on the continent aren’t really spending big this summer, it’s great for us.

We do generally sell quite well though. I was looking back at our selling history and we got insane value for Wimmer, Mason, Bentaleb, Pritchard, Townsend, Chadli plus got quite a bit for Eriksen and Toby despite them being at the end of their contracts and wanting to leave.

35m+ in for Bergwijn and CCV and it’s still early July, strong start.

Was Sanchez ever that highly rated? I don’t think so mate. He was rated, but not Barcelona rated. Barcelona went for Lenglet because he was outstanding for Sevilla

Davinson Sanchez Explains Why He Rejected La Liga Giants Barca in Favour of Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur's latest addition Davinson Sanchez has revealed why he turned down Barcelona in favour of making the move to North London this summer.

Speaking to Sport, the 21-year-old Colombian explained his choice of move that took him from the Europa League finalists Ajax to Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs, instead of the Nou Camp..

“For me, Barcelona has always been one of the best in the world but the conditions I was going to arrive to were not the best,” Sanchez said.

Sanchez says that his decision to sign for Tottenham was a football decision and not based on anything else: “Luckily, a decision was taken based on football, not on marketing”.

Now the player is just “thinking about Tottenham and the national team and continuing to perform well like I am doing”.

Have you seen any sources for Bremer to Tottenham in the last days....

No.

But a general comment, a lot of good CB's were expected to be on the move this summer (eg Skriniar, De Ligt, Kounde, Bremer, Gvardiol, Torres, Bastoni) but so far none have actually moved.

Maybe Skriniar's move to PSG if that's finalised, will be the first of several moves .

Coming back to Bremer, several Inter ITKs now saying he isn't going to them. If true it begs the question where is he going to go to.

Skybet have us down as 14-1 to win the league, Chelsea 16-1.

Don't think we have ever started the season bookies 3rd faves with some... we simply have to be setting our sights on winning it.

3/4 more signings and we will be a big, big threat
Our big problem isn't 3/4 more players, but finding the top top players we need. There aren't many feasible options in the market for the positions we want to fill.

If Spence and Lenglet is our lot I'd be quite content and I'd back us to finish third and be a lot closer to the top 2.

The icing on the cake in addition to the two above would be another top CB (Torres or Bremer) and a creative/attacking midfielder.

Very happy with our 4 CMs but I would like the option to put a creative passer on in the middle when we are trying to break down stubborn defences. Or to be able to play a 3 in midfield with the right balance.

It's a travesty neither Lo Celso or Ndombele could step up and deliver as that creative force.

I feel that could push us into the top 2 and/or bring a trophy home.
