I think I had that same fake D&G t-shirt when I was 12.
Was down the market today and a barrow was attempting to sell a North Face jacket for 100 squids!!!

Other sporting directors look at it in terms of opportunity cost and won’t risk paying more than €30 million or €40 million for a centre-back for the simple reason the difference in player quality is marginal and if the big money centre-back gets injured or flops, the club loses a lot of money that it won’t make back.
Absolute sense.
Sanchez.
Who was the fuck that saw him play the 5 minutes he played for sunderland and realized he would be a star?
I really like a punt on a lower division or relegated player but the Clarke signing was ridiculous.
I watched him on about half a dozen occasions...can't remember the player I was really interested in...and he was meh.

Read that Conte wants a creative midfielder

Reckon we're gonna chuck £70m at Maddison soon...
wwe what GIF

I hope not. There is better value abroad.

You’ll do well to go to another league and find an AM who’ll get over 20 goals and assists in the PL in this market
We shouldn't pay 70m just because he had a good season, although Leicester have won more than us in recent years, we are a much bigger club and he won't be an automatic starter either, it's a much different pressure.

so who is the weak link in the 11 then? because the club aren't satisfied with 4th and actually want to win the big honours now, so people need upgrading. but youre saying keep dier hes good enough to win champions league and league titles with him as your main CB?

What's all this "main CB" waffle?

We play THREE CBs.

Dier was a CB the last time we challenged for the title and went unbeaten at home in the process..... In a back 3.

Dier was a key component to our defense last season when we qualified for the CL... In a back 3.

Dier is NOT the reason we didn't win the league last season.

From last season the wingbacks. , CM, and more quality in depth at the back.
I’m not saying Dier is world class but he is a very good player in a back 3 imo and won’t be easy to upgrade on

We don't need "statement signings" we've had two of the best four players in the league for the last 3 seasons. We just need to make sure they are surrounded by other good players who fit the system of our world class manager and that we have the necessary depth.

We're well on our way to achieving that with January's window and this window.

In the last seven months we've added a world class manager and probably five to six first 11 players (Perisic, Bentancur, Bissouma, Kulusevski or Richarlison, and probably another CB and Spence).

Counting Romero last summer and Skipp coming back as PL starter quality, we've actually finally painfully rebuilt and there's still more coming. Our squad on matchday 1 will be massively different from the final game of 2020/21.
