Sure, but it's still a bit disappointing that we're two injuries away from last season's starting 11. The early buzz of Bissouma and Perisic didn't quite lead to other transfers of that calibre in the rest of the window.
It's a good window but not especially out of the ordinary for a top club.

IMO the most realistic hope is that we manage to nab top 4, an FA/league cup and CL QF/SF. Anything more would be really exceeding expectations.
Next summer we will need to go big again. Make a decision on whether to persist with Sess, same with Spence.

Yes- I think we haven't gone for a semi-expensive LCB because the plan is to go for a top class one next year.
Reguilon was also in the Sevilla team that beat Conte's Inter in the Europa League final, and Regui was one of their outstanding performers throughout that cup run. So Conte would have known a lot about Reguilon before joining Spurs. Now he's seen him day in, day out, in training, he clearly doesn't rate him.Airfixx is right- everyone on the forum, me included, thought that Reguilon was a good signing.

We would still be paying wages out whatever you want to call it - and doubt auditors would agree to contract terminations being amortised/spread over 5 years.
To add to the amortisation of paying for the installments for these players every year? Nah it's dead.
At the end of the day they are still assets, the club needs to make money on them because because they've invested money in them. It's just pointless ripping up their contracts when they could go somewhere and play thus maximising their value AND as I keep saying when this crops up, it's just terrible business and encourages players to come into the club and down tools after 2 years knowing they'll get paid off by the club.
I don't get the rush in wanting to ship them out, as long as they're not in the match day squads (if they're not in the managers plans) what's the issue?
No footballer wants to down tools and get paid off unless they are from France

Last PL matches before the world cup on 12 November (just over 3 months from start of season) and PL matches resume on Boxing Day 24 December (WC final itself is on 18 December - so any players going deep in WC is going to arrive back without any real break, those not going to WC should arrive back pretty rested.
The 6 week break will be an interesting new transfer window - signing players on international duty could be difficult but signing any players not going should be relatively easy.
