PL has money. Players happy to sit at clubs and take the money these days.
Even a WC year isn't enough to convince the newer generation of players to move for minutes over money.

I know Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V is a wonderful thing.
But at least spell the geezer's name properly the first time, so you don't make the same mistake over and over.
Bastoni.
Frankly the obvious point is: it is utterly irrelevant if did not have the likes of Kane son etc because the balls are so utterly sht they would be wasting thier time making runs. His cross to goal ratio is awful because the balls he plays are terrible. He is utterly sht and barca could not get shot of him fast enough. For the bolded, I agree he tore our defense to sherds. However it did not lead to anything. Half of those runs ended with him running out of space, the other half with a cross that makes Emerson's look world class.
You're right in saying that he's never had the likes of Kane, Son and Richarlison, but it's not like Jimenez is gash either.
Did anyone pay attention to his loan spell at Barca, was very uneventful no?

We know we have brought players in but the team is still short another CB is required and we seriously lack a spark.Yes. That will be their statement. Together with "we signed 6 players weeks before the start of the new season and another one for the future, all of which Conte signed off on."
You seriously need to start living in 2022, mate.
I’m facepalming so hard reading this thread. We decided to talk ourselves into Traore again? God help us all. He’s not at all press resistant and loses the ball in tight areas a lot, slow decision maker, poor end product.
He’s not without value but there’s a reason he sits on the bench at bloody Wolves. Please get an 8/10 winger hybrid instead of him, please.
Didn't play a lot of minutes in Spain, but his highlight reel shows that when he did, he did deliver. 700 minutes, 4 assists is a decent return for a bit part player.
If he can come off the bench for us and put 4 or 5 balls into the box in the final 15 minutes he will be an asset to the squad.
I agree with that, so let's see. No doubt at all that he Is not seen as a player who can deliver over 90 mins.
An impact player at best and the question not just for us but any team has to be is that enough?
It's also clear that maybe it's only the top teams who would want and be able to afford such a player, which is the paradox. What I mean by that is that the top teams could afford to pay for him to be an impact player.
Replacing a tiring Kulusevski Traore could be dynamite. Starting instead of him though...hmmmm. Maybe the dilemma.
Makes me wonder which coach will be the first to use the new 5 sub rule to bring on a striker; and then remove him again for a defensive player when they get the goal they needed.
Making stuff up now, I see, as I never said anything like that. And yet I'm the one talking shit.I disagree with your obsessive nonsense concerning players needing to be somehow whored out on to the market and publicly made available if we're to have a sniff of a chance of signing them.
So that's cleared that up for you.
With an option for the club to extend an extra year. A fact you conveniently "forgot." Meaning there's no urgency at this pointOh no. I'm sure he's delighted and and stroking Levy off as we speak.
No doubt he'll be knocking on his office door ready to sign that new contract that's precariously reaching maturity in less than 12 months time.
He signed a one year deal with Villareal and then both parties decided to split.christ, have another club cancelled his contract? Or was it really short? That guy earning a wedge from his signing on fees.
And the reason we haven't got these missing pieces is because... we're sitting on our arse? Or does it have to do with what's available out there? We know we have brought players in but the team is still short another CB is required and we seriously lack a spark.
The team looks quite flat at times and this leaving us short is not uncommon perhaps you should get yourself into the 21st century mate![]()

Post of the year.Seriously?
After we signed a CM that was arguably best in the position in the league outside of TOP6, on bar with Phillips and Rice...
After we signed versatile forward player that was best player of Everton, who we were competing quite closely and who offers cover for all 3 positions in front 3.
After we signed Italian champion and world class fullback that was also brilliant in past season, and despite his age had higher top speed than any of our players? Plus we actually future-proofed position with exciting prospect who we loaned out.
After we signed a young HG option for RWB, while host of other EPL clubs were after him?
After we upgraded our backup GK position without paying anything?
After we took on loan once very highly regarded CB whose ability on the ball is visible even now and who could easily improve and benefit from change of system and playing in back 3 ?
After we have shifted out (though temporarily) Ndombele, Lo Celso, Rodon who were all surplus to requirements. After we made profit on Bergwijn who never proved himself with us. After we look to be selling quite limited academy product that is Tanganga for 20 mil pounds?!?
After NONE of the wanted players have left or wanted to leave ?!?
This is not window we were expecting?
Speak for yourself.
Are you actually disspointed in the window, or are you just acting like a small child whose mother brought home new, awesome and shiny toy but just does not give it to you before christmas eve ?!?!
Cause that is the situation now. Bissouma, Richalidson, Spence, Lenglet are all yet to start even a single EPL game. Yet you are slagging off this window like it would have been no use.
Look at the table for once - we are unbeaten, on 2 wins and 1 draw from very hard game. Most of the new recruits have had minimal impact up to now, AND window is open for 8 more days.
Sure, Winks is still not moved on and same goes for Reggie. But I expect these two issues to be resolved as well before window closes. Sure, we could make two more signings - more progressive passing CM/AM and CB. Sure - there are some players who might not be most exiting and could be upgraded upon - Doherty, Moura, Royal, Sanchez.
But squad is in SO much better shape then it was in the end of last season. Not to mention in start of january. Since then we have brought in EIGHT new faces.
Everything cannot be done within one window.
But this has been MASSIVE step towards right direction.
