What if? I don't think prem clubs should be able to loan players to other prem clubs full stop.

Your imaginary scenario wasn't what I was advocating,

My point was purely that plenty of players have moved between the clubs in the past without it being the end of the world. This is a point of fact, not an opinion.
Well, if you cannot imagine Spurs finishing above Chelski ...I still can
But the rivalry between the 2 clubs is not imaginary and in such cases, neither of the clubs wants to help a close rival become better. And I don't think right now Chelksi thinks it's just an "imagination" that Spurs could be a close competitor for the top 4 spots.

Before people get excited keep in mind Conte said only squad players leaving need to be replaced

I.e. Gil or Tanganga

Wink, Ndombele. Lo celso and Regulion will not be replaced

Spare me the triggered bs. I just find it amusing when posters on this forum say things like "I'm willing to give them time," or stuff to that effect, as if it's in their hands to fire the ownership and appoint new owners.

So my question is, if after you "give them time" they don't do what you would like, what will you do?

Agreed. Boehly is at the steep end of the Prem League learning curve right now. He's likely making mistakes this Summer that he won't make in a year or two. However, from his experience with the Dodgers and Lakers, he most likely will not make a "trade" or transfer to a club that he views as true competition. The Dodgers very rarely trade with the Giants or Padres. The Lakers very rarely trade with the Warriors. I'd be shocked if he would do business with us, unless he's too green to understand the rivalry.

My guess is that he understands the sport better than Ryan Reynolds understood what he had bought with Wrexham.

I don't need to imagine Spurs finishing above 'Chelski' , I can remember it .

The rivalry between the clubs isn't a new thing. Plenty of players have moved between the clubs at some point or other - Hoddle, Lee , Roberts, Venables, Allen , Poyet, Parker , Gallas , Durie spring to mind. The world didn't end.

Good post bunburyist bunburyist

Good to see a bit of reason and common sense brought in to the debate.

The bit I'd question is the bit about good players being available. It's up to us to use our financial muscle and unprecedented FFP wriggle room to identify and get those players we need.

A good example is Fofana at Leicester. Unavailable! Not for sale! Said Brenda just a couple of weeks ago.

I'll bet you now he won't be a Leicester player when the transfer window closes!
Almost any player is available if you will pay enough but for the reported £80 million, do you think he is worth it?
