Before people get excited keep in mind Conte said only squad players leaving need to be replaced

I.e. Gil or Tanganga

Wink, Ndombele. Lo celso and Regulion will not be replaced
How much we gonna lose on reg? I’d be tempted to keep him as perisic is likely out injured or will need resting and we all know how fragile sess is. Defo don’t want Doh there as it stints out attacking threat from the WBs especially if royal is on the other side. We really haven’t upgraded WBs really unless spence can get a look in. Which based on contes comments I’d say he didn’t want him. He has a habit of discarding players very quickly. Ok reg may not be top drawer but his no worse than sess yet was consigned to the plague category.

What does "stints out" mean?

Perhaps Conte thinks Sess IS better than Reg? (......I think you could safely assume that is the case.)

You not see the odd twist to your take here?

You predict the Conte will bin Spence off on the basis that he's quick to write players off..... And then use this as the basis to argue that we should keep Reg... A player that Conte has already decided - after 9 months in the job - that he doesn't want.

What a tangled web.

100m players?

Mount? No.
I'm a big James fan, but still... No.
Abraham? No.
Tomouri? No.

Didn't he have Mount & Tomouri at Derby?
Mate, it's a throwaway remark aimed at setting the level for Chelsea. The fact is that he worked with these boys and saw them develop into full internationals and CL winners.

On your last sentence, I believe you're right on Mount, but I can't say on Tomouri, as I don't really know. If I remember correctly though, Mount tore it up at Derby and was pretty much fast tracked into the Chelsea first team following that.

Stunt our attack down the left.
As for reg I think he decided very early on as he would play Doh on left.
As for spence I’m just going by his demeanour and response when asked about spence.
Apart from sess his not really shown much enthusiasm for any of the existing younger players we had. A lot of people wanted him to give white some minutes last season in place of winks but he never did. Just sayin…

Oh well....it's not just food and electricity then where there are huge inflations

Lampard tells Chelsea that Anthony Gordon is worth over £100M amid interest

Frank Lampard tells Chelsea that Anthony Gordon is worth over £100MILLION as Everton starlet pushes for Blues transfer

EVERTON boss Frank Lampard claims Anthony Gordon is worth over £100million amid transfer interest from Chelsea.
Gordon, 21, has been heavily linked with a move away from Goodison Park this summer.

Chelsea have been pushing to sign him, but Everton have already knocked back four offers.

And now, Lampard has insisted that the winger is in the same bracket as players worth over £100m.

On Friday, he told Sky Sports: "He is our player and remains so, he is in the squad for tomorrow.

"He is a huge player for us, I said it last week, not only is he of great value to the club financially, but more importantly of great value to the squad and to me.

"They haven’t bid £60m so let’s not talk about a number that’s not there.

"I can’t put a number on his value to the club. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with fantastic young players at Derby and Chelsea, seen them develop and become England internationals and Champions League winners, worth triple figures (£100m+) in terms of their personal values.

"Anthony is in that bracket, he’s been a pleasure to work with and he’s ours. He’s an Everton boy, he plays for us and the crowd relate to him.

"It’s understandable that people would be interested in him because of the level of player that he is. The facts remain the same."

I actually quite like Gordon - but not at £100m or £60m.

IMO £40m might be a risk but he could well be worth it at that price

Well yeh... I'd be entirely prepared to throw the whole monologue in the proverbial bin. : P

....The fact that his reasoning is guff makes that all the easier.

.....Pretty obvious that Boehly isn't gonna suddenly stump up 100m based on fatty's sketchy rhetoric either.

TBH, I'm not sure why managers bother going down such a path..... The meaningful conversations happen at the negotiating table; not in front a Sky or BBC mic..... All this garners is the kind of response that it has been met with here; "Everton are dreaming" and "Franks a bit of a div".

On your last sentence, I believe you're right on Mount, but I can't say on Tomouri, as I don't really know. If I remember correctly though, Mount tore it up at Derby and was pretty much fast tracked into the Chelsea first team following that.

The other one was Abraham, my mistake.... I knew he'd had a couple of their top lads.... Remembered wrong.

That means absolutely nothing. A lot of people may have wanted White given some minutes, but at what cost, CL qualification?

Do these "lot of people" watch these boys train every day? If they don't, by what criteria are they basing him deserving of those minutes? What makes them better judges of a player's readiness for top flight Football than our manager?

It's up to these players to put themselves in the frame through their daily work, to show the manager that they merit a shot. As and when they get it, it's then up to them to maintain that level. They're fighting for the opportunity to play for a team with aspirations to challenge for the title of the most prestigious and competitive league on Earth. To get that opportunity, you have to work your chads off, you don't get gimmes because you're young and/or from the academy, not if there are players in your position who are better, or work harder, or both.

Hoping we can shift some of the deadwood out on loan to other forums in the next few days, hopefully Paratici shows us what he is made of.
Would hate for it to slam shut and we still have GOAT GOAT and Honest John Honest John training with the reserves.

Hey, GOAT GOAT

Doh was an emergency measure at times where Sess & Reg were both picking up injuries.

No need for fan-fiction.

You've got an over-active imagination it seems.

As for "lots of people" wanting White played ahead of Winks..... Mostly toxic Winks-haters I'd imagine. Regardless; us getting top 4 vindicates Conte's decisions with regards to all these micro-plots.

I don't think Lampard believes he's a £100 M player either, nor that Everton are ever likely to get that, he's just setting the bar, and sending out the message that if Chelsea want him, they're gonna get rinsed.

The cynic in me thinks that the £60M "rumour" has been started by Chelsea, to unsettle the player and put a number out there to guage the reaction from Everton, both board and fans. If the fans are coming out and saying "that's too much to turn down for an academy prospect with a season under his belt," and the board & manager start thinking about what striker they can get in with that money, then there's generally less resistance.

However, my feeling is that Everton have sussed this, so they've upped the ante.
