Small bit frustrating that we can't get fees for these players, but Lo Celso, Ndombele and Reguilon are all at teams and leagues that should hopefully rehabilitate their reputations. Not sure what to make of Winks at Sampdoria.. feel like he would have done okay on loan at Everton or Bournemouth for the year.

Not sure how much of it is genuine Covid money issues (PL clubs have big TV money that cover their arse) or taking the piss. I am guessing we consider it more likely to get the fees in Jan or next summer so are happy for loans for now getting them to play and picking up a fat fee later on.

It's one of the small negatives of Conte being so ruthless.

The fact they weren't on the pre-season tour devalued them below their actual worth.

The upside is that this ruthless culture could improve our mentality on the pitch too.

Excluding them didn't devalue anything, nobody would pay money for these players. Everyone in the world saw how they played against Mura and Morecambe last season. Excluding them was the best thing to do because it sent a clear message to them that they will not play for this club again.

Nobody outside of England has any money anyway. Pepe left Woolwich on loan, Dele left Everton on loan, Hudson-Odoi left Chelsea on loan, continental clubs cannot afford to pay a nice fee and take on the salary of these players as well.

Didn’t really work out that way with Gio and Ndombele. Can understand loaning Ndombele out again because of the way he played for Lyon but Villarreal and GLC are taking the piss.
He did very well by all accounts there last season so it was time for Villarreal to cough up the money or he either stays or goes somewhere else. How are we ever going to sell our deadwood if the clubs abroad know we will loan them if nobody pays up

We had strong lineups for both of these matches.

The Cucurella fee was absolutely insane. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it.

The purported Fofana fee seems even more so. Both are fine players, but these kind of fees for these kind of players just doesn't seem substainable.

I suppose with Fofana an argument could be made that the Chavs have a CB spot sorted for a decade, but that's a big IF...

If Spurs ended up with Maddison and Zaha, I would consider us title contenders. Just a shame our owners don’t have the balls to truly push on for a potential title challenge. I would be splashing all our money on these 2 with our supposed “war chest”

I've been a fan of Zaha -- he's full of piss & vinegar and always plays with intensity -- but IMO we've got ourselves a younger, better version in Richarlison.

We have 3 attackers and 4 competitions with huge amount of games. Having a striker force of Kane, Kulusevski, Son, Richarlison and Zaha would be as good as any team in the entire league.

Zaha is a very good player, hard runner, skilful, defends quite well from the front and scores goals, sometimes his decision making let’s him down but he would be a good depth option.

I'm a fan of his. But if we were going to make this move, it should've been a couple seasons ago.
