Don't exist.

You can have a player as elite as Mbappe still fail with all the apparent advantages in the world.
And look up Mbappe's defensive contributions, they're the worst in Europe with even keepers rating higher than him.
My son was saying earlier that he's averaged one defensive contribution every 5 games.

As you say, there's no such thing as sure fire, it's all about fit for the team and I do think Sav fits what we need right now and is young enough to be polished by RDZ.

Maybe I'm wrong but I'm not going to shit on him just yet and I'm looking forward to seeing what the gaffer can do with him.

Wharton is not as good as many think. He needs to be better than he is.

He isn't going to United or City. That lot don't need him. Filth, the same you would think. Aston Villa may have different priorities, and Liverpool? Newcastle might be tempted, but would Wharton see that as progress - not sure.

Maybe Wharton goes abroad but I think he is a good to very good, but not brilliant player.

If he us nearing the last 2 years of his contract I suspect 1 or 2 clubs may bide their time.

Wharton is absolutely incredible on the ball but without the ball, he’s barely a premier league player. You need 2 athletes next to him in MF to do the running and that limits what type of 10 you can play

Still a game changer with the ball though. In Spain or Italy he’d be unreal

Good!! We should stay away from players that have been relegated from the PL twice.

Why do I feel like Madders was relegated twice?
Or someone else we already have was?

Big potential there but he's a long way off being the finished article. And I wouldn't say he's light years ahead of Tel or Odobert.

For context, he's behind Martinelli in the pecking order for the Brazil squad! So if fans think he's the answer and going to be on the same level as Kudus then they are embracing themselves for a big let down.

However, he does have bags of potential and maybe with a run of games he will turn into a top winger. Doku and Semenyo are the 2 best wingers in the league by a distance so can't really fault him for not making it at City.
I think that's where RDZ comes in

Basing training around automations, lots of options to pass too - that sort of system helps elevate players like this

I'm probably in the minority, but I'm not convinced by the idea of signing Savinho at all, especially if he's going to cost more than £40 million.
I'd much rather see us take a chance on the unproven Mika Godts or Christos Tzolis.

Think we need to stop looking at theses wagon wheels and basic stats to judge what would be a good signing.

Just my opinion but we don’t need a passer imo, we need technically good players who can receive it on the turn , manipulate the ball , good 1 on 1 drag players out to create passing lanes . Don’t have to be amazing passers. We need midfielders who have got a bit of everything. Scott would be the talisman for out team under De Zerbi. He’s got the personality and presence on the pitch. Should be our top target
There has been a huge misconception regarding Scott that he is the same as what we have, its not true.

he has proved he can play as a deep lying playmaker this season and Bournemouth excelled because of it especially in the last at 3rd of season.

People follow these generic accounts that all look at the same data across a whole season.

If anyone would care to look at the time Adams got injured and Scott played CM with Christie they will notice it.

He needs refinement in his last 3rd through passes but he sees them and attempts them.

We should 100% be signing him this summer.
