We need a new 1st choice WF on both sides.

Yea. We do not and we will not.

Next topic please :) .

Or if you wanna live in fantasy land - of course we could use Kane up top with Olise on one side and Yamal on other.

But when we talk about reality then abosolute maximum we could even dream on (on top of hopefully wrapping up Senesi, van Hecke, Savinho) is a good striker to upgrade on Richie + top level CM + another winger option that comes with it's risk and compromises - literally someone on Wilson bracket. That would aleady be 7 new players coming in (I'd rather have focus on nailing those 7 transfer to maximal level instead of random scattergun approach). To a season where we have no Europe and that 100% will be used to evaluate some of the current crop of players too (can Tel make it; to which level will Kulusevski and Odobert return; do we keep Moore and how much can he contribute etc). It is clear fantasy land that we will replace all 3-4-5-7 month injured players with new signings with 4-5 year contracts. That is something that never happens nowhere - it would also be blatantly stupid waste of resources.

Well... yea, Wilson is not super exiting.
But as a 2nd winger signing. Being homegrown. And coming on free transfer.
We could do a lot worse.

Main issue is his injury situation - he will now finish 5th season for Fulham and with that time he has played 6564 minutes of EPL football - 1 312 minutes per season. That equals to 14,6 full games.

Though when he has played, he has always produced massively.
In EPL for Fulham 22 goals and 21 assists... that is goal contribution for every 153 minutes on the field. That is actually exceptional.
Pretty sure that it is better than anyone in current Spurs team (playing in EPL for Spurs) bar Richie (124) and Madders (134) - but please correct me if I am wrong.

Not saying at all that this would be a priority - far from it actually. But if we can get first pick winger and Wilson would be ok to join as free agent for salary up to 100 th per week, it could be quite useful.

I understand the logic, I just dont agree

Its the ultimate in "meh" and as I say, will just ultimately bloat the squad

If we sign Savinho, Id be quite happy putting Tel RW if Kudus isnt fit yet (and we dont get someone better)

He's our player, young, talented, and the game time will do him good

Considering odobert and tel are crap yes we do

This attitude nearly got us relegated last season.
I dont expect the club to be that dumb again but who knows with Lange at the helm.

We need to buy senior, established players - not potential. We already have Bergvall and Gray in midfield and we have no European football next season to allow us to spread the minutes. We need a deep lying CM who is a progressive passer - not potential (like these two players mentioned). We need an established player. We then have Bentancur, Gallagher, Bergvall, Sarr, Gray competing for 1 starting box to box position alongside that player. I'd be selling Sarr and loaning Bergvall out, not buying more young potential.

Sign Locatelli or Camara for the established deep lying CM.

Sell Bentancur and Bissouma, maybe even Sarr, sign this guy or Alex Scott

6
Locatelli/Gray/Charles (or Scott)

8
Gray/Bergvall/Sarr(or Scott)/Gallagher

10
Gallagher/Maddison/Simons

Bentancur needs to stay as he is probably our best CM, and the three months he missed compared to the 7 games where he returned to the team underlines that. He is a consistent senior player and provides on pitch leadership. Gray needs to stay (and play more as hi sunderstudy). Bergvall needs a loan as he will not get minutes and has not progressed at all in the last year. Sarr should be sold. Gallagher and Maddison are also senior players and leaders. We need a progressive passer to anchor our midfield and set the tempo. I am hoping we spend big on Adam Wharton or Locatelli. Bissouma will / should be released

Scott would be in competition with Gray and Bergvall when none of them will probably get many minutes. Charles would be another step in the direction of youthful potential that would not be realised (due to lack of minutes) or give us what we need right now.

I agree - IF (and this is unlikely if, I doubt we go for Wilson) this scenario would materialize, I think we should start the season with Savinho and Tel as starters. Wilson would rather be a depth option to step in if Tel does not produce.

Cause jury is very much out on him. He seems to have most of the important attributes, but in terms of end product the has not really achieved the needed level. In this hypothetical scenario I would see Wilson as "insurance policy" if Tel does not improve. But if he does, I could see us selling Wilson to a newly promoted team after one season.
