It's not just Richy, it's Richy, Son, Maddison, Lo Celso, Bentancur, Kulusevski, Perisic, Solomon. I expect pretty much everyone to contribute, we're not going to be a one man team anymore.

I think it's more that we should be less reliant on one player.

Which is why Pochettino and Kane can arguably have said to have failed, because for a while, we were very much a team, with goals from 4 or 5 players.

5 from the midfield is a good tally for a player not noted for his scoring prowess. You can also look at Brighton if you want another great example of a team with decent but not incredible players who scored a shitload just because they generated so much pressure on the opposition's goal.

Brighton did it for one season. They generally struggle with goal-scoring. You can certainly have a one off season where it all clicks, everyone exceeds metrics and the team is flying, but reliable 20+ a season scorers tend to score that many even when the team is having an off year. Brighton will score far less goals next season. Woolwich too, probably.

And Xhaka wouldn't score 5 next season either. And Odegaard won't score 15. Reliability.

So they're playing good Jacobs / bad Jacobs. Guess if it works with the cops, should do for transfer news too.

Shit Jacobs / Even Shittier Jacobs.

Yeah he's also a 31 year old pace reliant player coming off his worst ever season. Take away penalties from at least one of Maddison/Richarlison and bye bye to some of the double digit seasons. They were also the main man at each club and everything went through them. Richarlison scored 1 league goal last season and is no longer the head honcho.

And don't even bother with Perisic. He scores more than 5 and I'll send you a cake.
The point is, goals are produced by team attacking quality, not the individual track records of the players per se.

Kane is an absolute goal machine, but you don't just subtract 30 off the team total taking him out of the side.

Kane doesn't produce 30 league goals all on his own but a big chunk of them you won't see scored by any other player in our squad, let alone if we talk about what we lose in terms of his ability to switch the play, spray passes in behind (miles beyond even a creative mid like Maddison) etc.

To replace his goals you need a lot of the players on the aforementioned list to play to their full potential. That can happen, but it isn't very reliable and isn't likely to happen season in season out.

It’s kinda not though. Son, a golden boot winner, Maddison one of the most consistent goalscoring mids in the PL the last 4 years. Richarlison scores heavily for Brazil. Maybe him and the rest can now score more because we’re gonna be controlling the ball and pushing teams back rather than counter-attacking nonsense.

15, 8, 10 and then 7-10 between the rest of them.

Son and Kulu/Soloman will get a lot this season, angeball usually results in a tap in for a winger

You have a choice. To go and pay or not. Or to find a better product at a lower price.

It’s no different from theatre, movies, eating out — except half the punters think the owner of a football club should be subsidizing the entertainment and running it on their own money because ‘it’s football’.
Agreed. It is slightly different to the theatre, etc because with a football club there's brand loyalty that runs deeper. You support a club and that leads to more customer "stickiness" that for movies, etc is more a one off purchase.
Totally agree with the point that fans are unrealistic though thinking we should be shelling out £250m every transfer window "because that's what City, etc do". Can't compare us, run for shareholder profit, to the oil clubs. If you can't hack that reality change clubs and support City or PSG. That's just how it is in football these days, sadly.

You are all thinking that we need to sell Kane, we don't

Lloris
Perisic
Sanchez
Sess
Reg
Rodon
Tanganga
GLC (if we sell him, I think Ange likes him though)

Can all raise a fair chunk of money.

Those are the one's I can think of off the top of my head, people forget we have a f**k ton of dead wood at the club that should moved on first before Kane.

The problem is no one wants to buy many of those players you mentioned
