Let’s just say you are a very emotional poster. But I enjoy your posting for the most part and I find you are often balanced (unlike much of this board), so no offense meant.
How many are unwilling to leave? Not many clubs have come in with bids. The amount of players we have here unwilling to leave despite knowing full well they are not in the managers plans tells us the absolute garbage mentality they have and what we have been stuck with.
Say what you want about Hojbjerg but his attitude absolutely confirms he has a winning mentality. Not fancied anymore and decides its best to leave almost immediately as well as still making himself available for us.
Tanganga is basically a non entity. Homegrown and on low wages. Clearly he's a deadline day loan and I doubt his presence really prevents anything.
If we had sold/moved on 1 of Dier or Sanchez by now we would have space for the second CB.
With the remaining of the two becoming our 4th choice.
A player just deciding to "stick around" shouldn't be harming the club. We have power in this too. Pay him off in a worst case scenario or find him a move (he's not a dumb guy he would accept a loan as opposed to being frozen out for a year).

No strawman. You've been putting x'es on all my posts on this so can only assume you disagree with me about buying a striker.Pls don't attempt to strawman me.
By all means kick back an suggest what the club 'should' think; but if Ange sees these guys as viable then one has to accept that saying "They're not STs" is moot.
(With regard to me being "happy"....... I just don't know of any STs out there that would be available and enticing enough for me to want to see us spend a large % of the Kane dosh on. I also think that using Kane's name to emote away from the original premise of our exchange is weak rhetoric.......... If we'd just binned off a shit ST instead; Rich wouldn't be any more or less qualified.)
Let's be brutally honest here..... All the "Rich has never been an ST" rhetoric only bubbled up over the course of the last 2 games. He's played a large chunk of his career at ST and even plays there for his national team ahead of other career STs (Jesus, Firminho).
Again; if you don't think he's good enough for us then that's a different debate.
It does matter if we are waiting for him and Tanganga to vacate squad places before we bring in another CB.
Which seems to be what Ange is saying and what Ali G said last night.

I'm not sure what your point is......
FWIW, as I already said; if we're at the point of Dier having difinitively dug his heels in then I'd just pay him off.........
Rodon > Leeds (done)
Dier > Terminated
Tanganga > Luton
That's the 3 CBs out (irrespective of who) that most anticipated.
Hard for me to know what you mean without actually saying it, but thanks for clearing up. I don't agree with either of your opinions.No... The Xs are for any post you insist that we don't have a ST; cos that's factually not true.
Just so we're clear... The latest X is for this comment for the same reason.![]()
You said it doesn't matter if Dier gets terminated on the last day of the window.
I'm saying that would then make it too late to bring in the 3rd CB.
That isn’t the case. The annoying reality is that it taken this long for these 2 players to reveal their hand
I like the player but surely he has to want to come here if we agree a fee Etc
Or at least we can convince him he’ll get plenty of game time if that’s his concern

There is clearly a divide amongst the board about the striker situation. No strawman. You've been putting x'es on all my posts on this so can only assume you disagree with me about buying a striker.
This is my opinion and I'm not gonna reply again: We sold our only specialist striker in Kane. We have a few players capable of playing CF, but they are not specialists (and implied in that, not good enough). Not attempting to buy a specialist CF is a bad idea. It's pretty straight forward.
but thanks for clearing up. I don't agree with either of your opinions.
Equally; insisting that Lukaku wouldn't be a bad signing isn't gonna change those 100minds either.
- His attitude stinks.
- Thought nothing about massively screwing the chavs over despite them being his OG parent club and investing massive money in him for a 2nd stint.
- No doubt sees himself as above us in our current standing.
- Gets paid a fucking fortune.
- Lazy on the pitch.
- No less likely to miss a sitter than Richy is.
Of cousre they're related, but - as per Ange's comments that you and I quoted to each other a couple of days ago - the ins and outs aren't explicitly conjoined..... Exits being a primary focus doesn't mean that incomings can't and won't be worked on in the interim.
i.e. Just one of a few potential scenarios......
If there's a CB 'on ice' and Japh gets his move to Luton there's nothing to say we won't pull the trigger on the purchase knowing we have the option to release Dier a day or two later.
We did that EXACT thing with Porro/Doherty...... Yes a loan was plan A; but we proved a release with a low cost implication can be used as a tool at the 11th hour to get us where we wanted to be.
That isn’t the case.
It’s been reported all summer that Dier has turned down viable exit options because he wants to stay ‘and fight for his place’.
He laid out his hand in June. The ‘problem’ has been forum members accepting this as reality.
I guess Tanganga didn't see that coming...
