Has any club benefited from their academy as much as we have with Kane? No other current player has done more for the club they came through at.

Looking back … Gerrard did for Liverpool. Totti at Roma? Raul for Real Madrid ?

Pretty small number of players.

We were fortunate to have Hoddle and Ledley King come through as well. Campbell did the dirty on us but for 5 or 6 years he was a mountain at the back for us when we were really shit.

Definitely a very small number. He’s been a phenomenon and even if we sold him we would benefit ridiculously from years of service and a fee. I just have the feeling he’ll be here for good now.

Ian Walker, Nicky Barmby, Mark Falco, Steve Perryman, Mickey Hazard and David Howells also came through the youth team. They weren't all exceptional talents but they all became established first-teamers for multiple seasons and one of them even went on to be our longest serving player.

I'd love to see Hancko in a Postecoglou team.

Has N'dicka committed to Roma?

N'dicka and Hancko would sort LCB. If not N'dicka then Tapsoba would be fine. I'm not impressed with getting Lenglet, no matter how cheap he is. We start playing a high line and he will get found out multiple times in a game.

And yes it needs to be a left footed CB. Not a right footed, it just makes it much easier for a naturally left footed player to play there.

Especially if we are going to start playing it from the back. You need to have option of knocking the ball up the line with a left foot, can't afford to hook it round on the right. Teams won't give you that sort of time to do that. Even then there are still very few right footed CBs that can play LCB available.
I watched a lot of Feyenoord due to the links with Slot and whilst Hancko is good on the ball, he is shocking defensively. The amount of times a cross or pass was played in and he missed the ball or just didn't track his marker was crazy. He was lucky the finishing in the Dutch league is so poor.
