And that's how you do it. No sentiment. Look at what the player offers and don't renew contracts when you need better quality.

I don't think Klopp can get Liverpool back, mostly because he can't replace ageing Salah, Henderson or Van Dijk, but he makes strong decisions.

Keita was as useless as threebellies was for us.

Poch was ruthless, at least to begin with.

The best clubs and managers are.

Milner is 37 (!!!)
Firmino is a somewhat prematurely ageing, fragile and gassed 31.
Ox is a terminally broken 29.

They'd be mad to offer them new deals.... Esp. as they're probably on big money too.

This bares little correlation to Dier's current contract empass...... More like us putting Jan, Toby, Sissoko, Rose, Doherty out to pasture.

100%.

Of course they need backing but holding onto players for too long is the start of any decline.

Couldn't it be argued that Keita & Firminho should have been sold by now?

I'm not sure this is what you're making it out to be... This is not Pep binning off Cancello, Zinchenko, Sterling & Jesus......

I've no measuring stick, but if they intended a 5 month ban then give him a 5 month ban. Brentford have got off lightly here for multiple reasons.

I've got one, Suarez got what, an 8 match ban for bloody racism? Toney put some bets on teams who aren't Brentford.

It's not that deep imo and I think even 5 months is harsh. 8 seems ridiculous.

Couple of freebies I'd have. Traore and tielemens. Reckon tielemens will end up a gooner though. I'd raid leicester if they went down. Maddison, daka and inenancheo as 2nd striker. Not sure if that right back Pereira is still there as well. Hes a good player.

2 seasons ago in the ECL, Spurs only generated £10.2M. If we make a run in the ECL next year, we might double or triple that amount. Obviously, 8th Place this season earns £0. So, not much European money to buy players with this Summer compared to Champions League earnings.

GK - £30M
CB1 - £40M
CB2 - £30M
AM1 - £30-50M
Kulu - £30M

Point being, are the shopping lists that we're dreaming up even remotely realistic? £150-200M needed to buy what most of us consider to be reasonable spending.

Potential sales or loans of GLC, Winks, Rodon, Reguilon, Tanganga, Davinson, etc., might stretch to £40-60M raised to lower the total expenditure to £100-150M.

Can you see Levy and Lewis spending like that without much or any European revenue?

I hear you.... Suarez has been under-punished... Twice!

8 games is lame when you consider Mitrovic just got the same for a very mild push on the ref and a bit of verbal.

Gambling rules are an extension of an effort to police match fixing, so I fully assume them to get punished firmly.

Dier is more shot than either Jan or Toby when we shifted them.

He’s not a premier league CB anymore.

I’d love for him to go to MLS and enjoy his life in LA or something

Maddison's injuries are a worry and would be expensive, but yes a very good player. The Leicester player i'd take is Harvey Barnes, looks like he'd be a decent HG squad player to replace Lucas. 12 goals this season from wide in a dire Leicester team, always looks a threat.

Any kind of proven racism should be a minimum 2 season ban imo. Ridiculous you get a handful of games for it, if anything there should be a consideration for a career ban. Racists don't deserve highly paid careers.

I think you’ve got to add in the cost of Porro too — although you don’t pay off the entire fee in a single installment.
I think Tottenham had the greatest(?) transfer liability — unpaid fees — in the entire division. Not good for future spend.
