Sticking with the same group for too long is the core of our problem.

Accepting summer 18 for what it was warts and all; would you not agree that the subsequent churn is more rapid, fluid and effective if we didn't fuck those big deals up?

..............Especially the TN/GLC/Sess mega-balls-up window.

I'll be honest, we can pick away at the more technical minutia of it all, but I find it baffling that anyone would look at that list I just posted (along with Sess who is another 30m down the drain!) and not concur that is the clear #1 'big stink' in the room.

My mate who follows german football recons we are in talks with Kamada - A Japanese midfielder and Evan Ndikia a CB who both play in Germany
If we bring in Slot, we will need a ball playing GK, 2 x CB, a progressive CM, an AM a RW and a LW, Kamada at AM and Ncidka at CB both on a free, would be very good signings without touching the budget needed elsewhere IMO.

Touche.... But I maintain that our over-riding downfall has been poor key purchases; not whether or not Matt Doherty & Danny Rose should have been allowed to leave for free.

By the same token, maybe Liverpool wouldn't have slid so dramatically if they'd recycled the players in question sooner...... Perhaps they wouldn't have had to pull out of the race for Bellingham if they weren't taking this financial hit....... Similarly; perhaps if the goons had got money of Lacazette, Ozil, PEA etc. they may have had enough depth to get over the line this season.
The 2 moe
Re expensive buys for us must be keeper and central centreback. Look how Liverpool has improved after buying Allison amd Van Dijk.

Why, they didn't sign a new contract when Glasner was their manager, what makes you think it would be an advantage?

Apparently they want 100m for Muani and even if they didn't, I doubt he would care if Glasner was our manager.

Possibly they didn’t sign a new contract because the money wasn’t enough and nothing to do with Glasner. That’s pretty common in football. As regards Muani, it also happens that players sometimes follow their old manager. Anyway it would possibly be easier for any manager to sign players from his old club if there was a good relationship. Rogers reportedly reckons if he came he would bring Madison and Tielemans with him.

It’s both those summer windows that fucked us and then compounded by having a terrible scouting set up oversaw by Hitchen and Levy’s usual role in things. Just a recipe for disaster that we can all see pretty clearly now. Thankfully the club are trying to repair it but it could still take a couple of seasons to move on a lot of players.

N’dicka and Kamada would be easier to get if we had their former boss in Glasner. Could get Kolo Muani as well.
Most players sign for the club that offers most money. The only reason Glasner would make it easier to sign those former Frankfurt players is if Glasner (presuming he became Spurs' manager) was pushing hard and demanding that Spurs sign those players. The players would then, of course, tell the press that they choose Spurs due to Glasner being the head coach and that they supported Spurs since childhood

They would earn considerably more money at Spurs than at Frankfurt esp the ones coming on free transfers.

I hear you.... Suarez has been under-punished... Twice!

8 games is lame when you consider Mitrovic just got the same for a very mild push on the ref and a bit of verbal.

Gambling rules are an extension of an effort to police match fixing so I fully assume them to get punnished firmly.
8 months is a disgrace. Having a bet is a fun thing to do as long as you don’t let it get out of hand. Totally different if he’s betting on Brentford to lose or not win but 99% of players will have a bet on a Saturday or any other day for that matter. The further down the levels it’s even more rife. Stupid fucking rule.

The only way we make any semi-decent signing is if we get a manager that can sell them a project AND no other top 8 PL team is interested AND the price if right.

I'm looking at the names Utd and Woolwich are trying to get signed up early and it leaves me in disbelief at our business last summer when we had the golden carrot of CL football to offer (and the financial advantage that comes with it) and
Richarlison turned out to be the best we did....a guy who's probably strongest playing in the position our best player occupies. Genuine weapons grade idiocy by the board and Paratici.
I remember when we were linked with Lautaro Martinez and the price bandied about was 70m ish. Loads on here were saying he's gash, wasteful, couldn't play with Kane, give it a pass etc etc.

Then we got Richarlison not long after that for 60 big ones. A guy who'd score 10 for mighty Everton on a good year. And yeah, he's set the world on fire with us since...

Interesting how Lautaro is (one of) the first names on the teamsheet at Inter week in week out...he's been involved in the 35 league games they've played, starting 25 cause Inzaghi likes to rotate. Can play alongside Dzeko or Lukaku or Correa...or as a lone striker. Similarly, he's played in every CL matches, starting 11 out of 12. The guy is always fit but, mainly, he always contributes...21 goals in Serie A last year, 20 so far this season (4 more than his xG) to go with 5 assists, plus 3 goals & 3 assists in this year's CL, where he'll play in the final. Man also played his part in Argentina winning the World Cup final...he makes Messi's 2nd & Argentina's 3rd in extra-time. Guy has 21 goals in 48 caps. Watch him play regularly and see how he also helps with the defensive side of the game.

But yeah, relax guys...we're sorted with Richy, Kulu, Moura, Danjuma...and got Gil & Troy coming back soon 😃
