Most don't have any higher agent and signing on fees as regular transfers. It just depends on how high in demand the players are.

If we bring in Slot, we will need a ball playing GK, 2 x CB, a progressive CM, an AM a RW and a LW, Kamada at AM and Ncidka at CB both on a free, would be very good signings without touching the budget needed elsewhere

So how can paying huge signing-on fees, bonuses, etc, not touch "budgets needed elsewhere"?

Is a good point. Often the signing on fee is more up front that year than the first payment on a big signing.

Pretty sure sign-on fee is why Levy and Paratici didn't fancy Eriksen this time around.

Conte didn't want that kind of player; pure and simple, but yeh between wages and bonuses Eriksen's camp wanted a fucking fortune.

Funny thing is Man Us new look midfield is already ageing after it's first season.

He didn't exactly give peak performance there and obviously his personal circumstances changed rather dramatically in the interim, but Conte did sign Eriksen at Inter and play him a bunch in their title winning campaign.

I'm aware of that.... Not without giving him the proverbial 'club signing' treatment for 6-12 months though.

Given his utter refusal to deviate from 343 here, nor ever once trying Kulu as a CAM; I think the reports that he declined both CE & Maddison are entirely plausible.

I remember when we were linked with Lautaro Martinez and the price bandied about was 70m ish. Loads on here were saying he's gash, wasteful, couldn't play with Kane, give it a pass etc etc.

Then we got Richarlison not long after that for 60 big ones. A guy who'd score 10 for mighty Everton on a good year. And yeah, he's set the world on fire with us since...

Interesting how Lautaro is (one of) the first names on the teamsheet at Inter week in week out...he's been involved in the 35 league games they've played, starting 25 cause Inzaghi likes to rotate. Can play alongside Dzeko or Lukaku or Correa...or as a lone striker. Similarly, he's played in every CL matches, starting 11 out of 12. The guy is always fit but, mainly, he always contributes...21 goals in Serie A last year, 20 so far this season (4 more than his xG) to go with 5 assists, plus 3 goals & 3 assists in this year's CL, where he'll play in the final. Man also played his part in Argentina winning the World Cup final...he makes Messi's 2nd & Argentina's 3rd in extra-time. Guy has 21 goals in 48 caps. Watch him play regularly and see how he also helps with the defensive side of the game.

But yeah, relax guys...we're sorted with Richy, Kulu, Moura, Danjuma...and got Gil & Troy coming back soon 😃
Stream of consciousness stuff right there. Sheesh
