Would love to see Sarr there as well
One season. It took ONE good season for them to spout that kind of rhetoric.
I can't remember who it was on here, but they nailed it when they said to look out for Geordies becoming immediately insufferable/delusional the minute they got a whiff of success.
Tapsoba and VdV are the right kind of names/profiles it’s good to see.
Obviously means nothing if we don’t follow through but the targets look good. We’ve been impressively quick getting Vicario and Maddison over the line.
I like Tosin too I really do, if he’s gettable at a good price.
Tosin seems like a snart buy.... Even if we loan him back to Fulham next season.
If he is not ready now then why buy ?Tosin seems like a snart buy.... Even if we loan him back to Fulham next season.
Loan him back , don’t be daft.Tosin seems like a snart buy.... Even if we loan him back to Fulham next season.
Need good money for these to buy others.
To guarantee Kane staying just to get Madison in would be non sensical.Well first of all assurances from Levy aren't worth much, secondly as I said previously Maddison should use his brain, if he has come here not considering that Kane being sold is not a possibility, he's a fool.

Alan Shearer warns Spurs Harry Kane decision could anger James Maddison
Tottenham are closing in on the signing of the Leicester City playmaker.metro.co.uk
Tottenham risk ‘pissing off’ new signing James Maddison should they decide to sell Harry Kane this summer, according to Alan Shearer.
The England skipper is said to be giving serious consideration to finally leaving his boyhood club amid concrete interest from Bayern Munich.
An opening offer of €70million was immediately rejected by Spurs on Tuesday but the German champions are expected to return with an improved bid imminently.
Kane has just 12 months left on his current contract and is in a strong bargaining position with Daniel Levy who would prefer not to sell the club’s talisman to a Premier League rival.
While resolving Kane’s future remains the No.1 priority, Spurs are making progress with their own summer recruitment drive.
The signing of goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario was confirmed yesterday, while Maddison’s arrival from Leicester is imminent after a £40m agreement was struck.
Shearer, however, believes Maddison would be questioning his decision to join the north London club should he be denied the opportunity to play alongside is international teammate.
‘My first thought when hearing about Bayern’s bid for Harry shot in the direction of James Maddison, who has been the subject of negotiations between Spurs and Leicester City, his present club,’ Shearer told The Athletic.
‘If I was Maddison, once I’d got personal terms out of the way, the first thing I’d be asking of Tottenham is assurances that Kane isn’t leaving. Imagine how pissed off you’d be if you’d pictured yourself creating chances for one of the world’s best finishers and then, bang — he’s gone.’
On the conundrum facing Spurs and Levy, meanwhile, Shearer added: ‘Daniel Levy, the Tottenham chairman, has a reputation in the game as a tough negotiator but this summer represents a crossroads.
‘Tying Harry down to a six-year contract in 2018 was a genius piece of business because it gave the club huge protection when City and others came calling, but it presents them with a dilemma now. They could sell him for a decent fee or hold their nerve, gamble on him agreeing new terms and risk him leaving for nothing in a year.
‘Levy is not somebody I know personally, but I would be surprised if he was willing to let Harry join another Premier League club, unless it was for ridiculous money (these things are relative) and it would kill him to let him go for nothing, particularly when a replacement would likely cost a fortune and inevitably be inferior.
‘Even the biggest clubs have to sell at some point, whether to reinvest or refresh, but gauging the right moment is fraught. And without Kane, Spurs are toothless.’
Those were the assurances Maddison had wanted…To guarantee Kane staying just to get Madison in would be non sensical.
Plus it looks like Hugo’s wages will be coming off the budget.Freeing up alot of money than if we just "PaId tHe FeE"
Raya 40m? Nah. Similar goalkeeper for 17m
Kulusevski 30m? Nah. We'll get him for 25m
Maddison 60m? Nah. We'll have him for 40m
That's a potential 48m less than we could have ended up spending. Now go and get a centre back or two.
Haha, one of the best keepers in Europe! I hope Vicario is great, but this guy is some spoofer. Twitter is now, more so than ever, people just saying dumb shit for engagement.
100% The flags were out in full force that day, a sea of bedsheet and tea towel fancy dress cunts in the stands. The puppet "owners" giving royal waves to their subjects below them in the stands. The media constantly cut to Shelvey in the stands, but the second Ndombele scored there was nothing, no more shots of Shelvey, no more "wonderful atmosphere" from the Newcastle faithful. Beautiful.remember when we went to their place after the take over? conceded the first goal and sky commentators were absolutely jizzing all over the mics? Ended up getting spanked.
Let's hope Maddison can help us deliver another spanking.
Jaco is a clown but at least he has watched Vicario play and that is more than I have.Jaco is ahad to unfollow him because he became really insufferable last season with the whole Conte saga.
This is kinda my take too.Harry Redknapp -bbc sport
[Harry Kane] is cert to stay at Tottenham. I think he is building a new house.
Family would be the all-important thing for him, so there's no chance he's going to Bayern Munich, he'll be staying at Tottenham.
He's not going to want to go to Germany, he's not taking his family over there, not a chance. So if he stays here, unless you go to Man City you're not guaranteed to win anything.
You could go to Man Utd and not win anything, you can go to Chelsea or anywhere else you want to go. At the moment Man City are winning everything, they're on a different level, and Man City don't need him, they've got Haaland up front and there's not a spot for him (Kane) any more so that's not going to happen.
So there's not a move for him really so I think he'll stay at Tottenham, I really do. I'm very confident about that.![]()
