If we can get Laporte for £30m and he actually wants to come its an absolute no brainer IMO. He is fucking excellent on the ball, even if he only plays 100 games for us in all comps it would be worth it to have such a Rolls Royce of a centre back at this club.
Take a look at his injury record

Brighton signing a player that Chelsea and Woolwich were after........shows how far they have come and demonstrates massive ambition.

Think you're getting massively carried away on their behalf there.

Think about how many players they've sold and how much they continue to rake in selling their players.....

They're roughly 90m quid (n) in profit over the last 3 years.... And having only done about 5m (n) so far this year; another 34m on this bloke is hardly a wild spend up!

... and that's before another likely 100m incoming from Caciedo!!!

Spending €40 on a player now a demonstration of massive ambitions… ✏️
For us it is apparently!

Bit different.

Richarlison can play left wing and striker, was 25 years old, Premier league proven and had mileage with Son and Kane entering their 30s

Taremi is 31. Never played higher than Portuguese league and is not suited to Ange style football
I don´t think we are desperate for strikers!

As i´ve said on numerous occasions, i´m pretty sure we signed Richarlison as a future replacement for Kane!
Kane was single striker for about 3 years or something, and suddenly we sign a backup-striker for £60mil??? Not exactly Levy´s modus operandi, was it?

ITK on SC is claiming Spurs are "trying" sign Antonio Silva

Hotspur88
Well yes and no. We are looking to bring another in as it does seem Harry is off. We really do like Orban. Also, Silva from Benfica is another we really like, I think he would be a top signing. He's only 19 but our defence could be sorted for years to come. Would cost a good chunk of money however.

Hmmmmm....

I think Kane's silence suggests he wants to probably go.

I just don't see the path to glory, other than a Bundesliga title, which means what to the Engkand captain.

That's my bit of disconnect or discombobulation.
He has always been silent hasn´t he? He has never commented on a transfer rumour to my knowledge?! He did apparently want to go to City, but that didn´t happen!

A Bundesliga title would probably mean as much as zilch for an Englishman i would think, but what do i know?!

Maybe it´s the CL trophy he´s after, not at all a certainty playing for Bayern is it?

Would be really dissapointed if Harry has fallen for the trophy obsession that is Twatter and journos these days! NO SINGLE PLAYER has the god given right to win trophies, it was a team sport last time i checked

Massively carried away? I think you're the one getting carried away tbh

All I'm saying is that they are attempting to sign a player that was expected that join Chelsea, a very highly rated player. They are Brighton, who have had one good season, a club that usually works in a transfer market looking at players noone has heard of. Well now they are about to sign a player that most fans know about and rate.

It's got nothing to do with their sales or how much money they have, it's about the profile of player they have convinced to join them ahead of one or two of the traditional PL big boys.
