Are you suggesting £60mil for a 1-goal-a-season striker is a bad policy???

:andros:

On a more serious note, i´m not gonna write off Richarlison as a bad signing just yet! I think he had a shit season with bad luck troughout with injuries galore and other shit happening!

Will be interesting to see what he can do with some front foot football being played, and if Harry leaves(god forbid) he will probably be the main man!

What i have snapped up thus far from Ange´s filosophy, i don´t think his system is as dependent on one or two players like we have been these last seasons

His system is set up so our play isn’t dependent on 1 or 2 players.

Unlike last season where almost all attacks had to go through Kane, Ange’s style is very much a sum is bigger than its parts.

I think the some of the biggest obstacles for guys like Kane (if he stays) and Sonny is that they don’t have to try to make something happen all by themselves.

Ambition that they have attracted a player of Kudus's calibre and reputation ahead of serious competition for his signature from other clubs. It's a step up from the profile of player they normally go for and sign. The club is going against its usual model of recruiting and it will be a interesting to see if it works out for them.

As you say West Ham are rolling in cash but they have no idea or plan on how to spend it. They are caught in the trap of wondering whether to spend the Rice money on improving multiple positions in the squad or going for one of two top quality players to go straight into the first team and up to now they have done neither.

Brighton are just a very smart and well run football club.

I fully concur to the highlighted; but buying a player for 34m quid when your trf history is already littered with 15-20m players (whilst all the while very comfortably sat on a pile of liquid cash), it simply isn't a "massive" act of ambition... It's just a nice acquisition that they can VERY easily afford..... An aquisition that only gets to happen if CFC & AFC themsleves aren't aggressively pursuing said play.

If they took the expected 100m Caciedo money and tried to use that to snare some 80m-90m lad like (eg) Muani and got a bit net-spendy on top of that; then THAT would be "massively ambitious" for a team in their predicament.

(WH are a mess; but that's neither here nor there........ From the outside they're 100% expected to spend their windfall......Much like you'd expect Brighton to spend a decent chunk of their exponentially increasing nest-egg......... Much like they're fans will 100% be expecting them to.)

I’m surprised we’re not being linked to more wingers. Assume Ange does like Gil? If no we should be going after Gnonto. Surely he’s not staying at Leeds

Laporte would be our equivalent of Thiago Silva for the chavs. A leader & organiser, who reads the game well & gives confidence to those around him.

He wouldn't come to Spurs to be a squad option.

The concern is a pretty poor injury history.
Laporte a squad option amongst Dier, Sanchez, Rodon, Tanganga???

I think years of the media obsession to sell Kane with the winning trophies line has got to him. I do think if we can get 100m for him it’s a good deal for us and we are not selling to a rival and I said at the end of the last season we had to start a fresh with a manager and players who desperately want to play for our club and Kane clearly want out either now or at the end of the season and I don’t want this media circus going on another year. Goodbye good luck and thanks Kane but sign a new contract or go
None of us has any idea of what he is thinking!!

If every fucking shit journo is to be believed yes he is desperate to leave! But they have an agenda, and always had! The media has tried their utmost to sell Kane for 6-7 seasons now. It´s actually been really disgusting their behaviour.

And then you have the Twatter morons who buy into exactly everything the media spouts!

As a non British, i have learned to not believe a single thing these journos write, they are not journalists, they are fan boys!

Laporte would be first name on the team sheet tbh, if we had him in we'd have 3 quality options to rotate for the 2 positions so even if he misses a 1/3rd of every season it wouldn't matter a fuck tbh, you wrap him in cotton wool and save him for the most important fixtures like Ledders. Would be our best defender since Vert by a country fucking mile.

Laporte is exactly the type of player Ange would want. If we can get him for £30m it is an absolute no brainer

Taremi is good and if he was a free transfer or in the last year of his contract and someone we could have got for like £5-10m then I wouldn't have minded too much. He brings experience to the team and offers us something completely different (More similar to Kane if he is off).

But the price banded about for a 31 year old that's not guaranteed to start here should make this a complete non-starter. Use that money to put towards Orban if he's interested. If not, then put that money towards getting in another centre back for depth or towards a central midfielder on top of Hojbjergs fee if he leaves
Mendes client I believe so trying to screw some mo et oi from a transfer. Has all the hallmarks of fraudster behind it. Probably in for a cut. Otherwise makes no sense.

One of the main players that Barcelona are looking to sell this summer is Clement Lenglet. The French central defender has been deemed as surplus to requirements by Xavi Hernandez, so a permanent transfer will be looked for over the next few weeks.

Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs interested in signing Lenglet. They had him on loan last season, and are looking to take him on a permanent basis to improve their options at centre-back.

Barcelona and Spurs have yet to come to an agreement over a price for Lenglet, although MD have reported that the two clubs will discuss the matter next week when they face each other in the Joan Gamper Trophy, which takes place on Tuesday in Montjuic.

Spurs were chosen to take part in the match earlier this summer, and it will present the perfect opportunity for Barcelona to discuss Lenglet with the Premier League side.

Napoli are also interested in signing Lenglet, so Spurs will know that they need to come to an agreement with Barcelona as soon as possible if they are to sign him.
Ffs!
