Lukaku for 100MIs Ndombele pound for pound the worst ever buy in the Premier League?
Vicario just looks a bit chaotic at times, I think we should move Forster to number 3 and get a solid pair of hands as #2.Cant see Tapsoba happening for £50m to be honest. I haven’t watched him play but if he’s worth let’s say £60m I wouldn’t have any issues forgoing #2 Gk
Nor should it.
He might be better than I think. Probably is. But fuck spending 60m on him
Some clubs have spent 20M on players that have never played. He’s done Ok at times, scored a few goals etc
Apparently played .90m is a left winger yesterday and did wellToo right, get it done ASAP.
Another CB, Eze and defensive midfielder and we’re set.
Yea that’s fair. I’ve actually got no clue how Vicario will turn out. I’m hardly knowledgeable about GKs but I’d imagine it be quite unlikely for him to have completely fluked last season, although his ball deflecting looks like it’ll cost us a few this season.Vicario just looks a bit chaotic at times, I think we should move Forster to number 3 and get a solid pair of hands as #2.
Whiteman injured anyway, so makes sense from a squad perspective too.
They'll be subject to FFP, though. They can't sustain this level of spending even under a modicum of FFP. No one gives a shit about the Saudi league for them to be able to have any kind of significant commercial revenue. The only workaround might be for some Saudi network to offer some crazy TV deal worth billions a year. This has all happened in six months. They will have a clear strategy and objective, they aren’t just blindly spending with no goal. The CL makes sense
They have unlimited money - they will pay player £1M per week, the differential is so vast that they will go when they are in the CL. Might not be a bad thing for us as a club tbh
I don’t give a fuck the chavs are doing with their back door Saudi money.12 months ago, £60m for Vlahovic would have seemed like a bargain.
In times when Caidedo is going for £115m then it still seems like a decent price to me.
Yeah which is more than possible. All I’m saying is how surprised I was that PL clubs see this as a threat via CL entry but it actually makes a lot of sense. They'll be subject to FFP, though. I agree with you on this. One thing evident is we lack genuine pace in our front three. There’s nothing explosive about them. Deki could easily go in where skipp played yesterday because he is strong and more creative and pace isn’t as big a thing in that position. Sonny needs space to run into and if we are going to dominate the ball we will find teams sitting in against more often so that explosive burst of pace over 5 to 10 yards is needed and I don’t see that in him now. I think he’s fine pace wise over 20 to 30 yards. Richy is very one paced too and the likelihood he isn’t the answer.I'm far from convinced that Richarlison, Son and Kulusevski will muster 31 goals between them this season
We desperately need to inject some real quality in the final third
We don’t have 60m to spend on a striker when we have more pressing places to spend limited funds
