Many on this forum probably watched him play 3-5 games over the summer for the u21's. He played vs Chelsea last season and was borderline motm, scored a great goal in the community shield, four CL games. I don't think he'll be an elite player or anything, but it shouldn't be a shock that people who comment on a football forum might actually watch football.

I keep saying it - all he and ENIC care about is that the club is valued above a determined amount. So they can keep using it as collateral for loans for non football related business. Has absolutely no impact on the football when they do that, it's not taking money out of the club. What it does mean though is that everything is run as lean as possible all the time. Never put too much in unless there is a real danger of the value plummeting.
